Best Acne Product yet
Started to get acne around 14, and at 16, I finally decided to buy this at my local Jewel Store and I have to say its the best product I have used to this day. I had tried everything to fight my acne, proactive, zapzyt, oxy pads, oxy cream, and some other nuetrogena products that didn't work as well. Some how my acne just came back every time. A week into using this product, my acne was 10x better and I wasn't worrying about my acne. The product at first made my skin somewhat dry, but not as dry as proactive had made my skin, but after apply moisturiser after putting on the clearasil, my skin isn't dry anymore. I am very happy that I was able to find a product that could stop my acne, and could finally stop trying to find the best product on the market, like i had done for 2 years straight. The best OTC acne cream
I have used just about every single OTC acne wash/cream/astringent out there, so I was a bit skeptical when I saw an ad for this one from Clearasil. The last spot treatment product I had used was "Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment, .75 oz" and it did nothing. Then one day about two weeks ago this very large pimple began forming on my upper lip. I have them pop up in this area quite often and when they do they linger for about 3 weeks, it's so frustrating. Out of desperation, I decided to give Clearsil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream a go. The instructions say to apply 1-3 times daily but I amped that up to about 8-9 because I didn't think the product would work. Well, as it turns out it worked as promised and the pimple was pretty much completely gone after just 2 days, but my lip and nose was incredibly dry (I felt really sunburned). Best of the Benzoyls
I've been using benzoyl peroxide for 10 years on my terrible terrible skin and let me tell you, I've tried most of them and this is the best. From off brand to doctor's office brands, value to top dollar, it's been on my face. This is the best.Let me first say if you've never used this before there's a good chance you will feel a "burning sensation" and if you wear it to bed it will bleach your pillows. (And that means your clothing too! and your towels if you don't wash it off your hands well enough!). Dont Waste Your $ On An RX!!
This product is great and is highly effective. I have worked in pharmacy for 3 years and have seen people spend a lot of money on prescription acne treatments that basically do the same thing but only cost more, especially if you dont have insurance. This strength of Benzoyl Peroxide used to be RX only, but now is over the counter. It is rather strong and I do suggest that you follow the instructions on the package, especially if you have sensitive skin, to "ease into it", even if you are tempted to put it on 2-3 times a day at the very beginning. It may cause your skin to become very dry and flaky, somewhat ruining the benefits. Overtime though, many people's skin gets used to it and then you can increase the application as neeed.As other people have mentioned this product does say that it is a gel, but in fact is a white cream and does leave some residue on the skin. The best zit cream ever
If you need to get rid of a zit fast, then this is the best out there, in my experience.I put this on any zit (or blackhead trying to become a zit) that I spy before bed, and it knocks that sucker out. It does make my skin peel a tad, and it will probably do the same to you, so be careful not to overuse. Also, make sure you use a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer as well if your skin is really sensitive.EDIT: Something else that's great: This product caused old acne scars on my chin to fade very quickly. Acne scars are the worst because even if the zit goes away it looks like you still have it! So this product is great for that as well.SECOND EDIT: I wrote this review several years ago. Great for long-term acne management
I use this product a bit differently than the average user in that I use it as an acne preventative. Before discovering this product by chance six months ago, my skin was in terrible shape. My face is very sensitive to most chemicals, to the point that I can't wear most commercial makeup. Acne medications seemed to make my skin worse as opposed to better. Benzoyl peroxide caused my face to peel constantly and salicylic acid seemed to make my face ruddy. I thought I was doomed to have acne forever because I have PCOS which, among other things, can cause oily skin and cystic acne. Everything turned around after I began using Adult Acnomel. This product features resorcinol (a medication used in the treatment of cystic acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, and rosacea) and sulfur (a natural antibacterial) as opposed to the harsher aforementioned agents. A Bionic Beauty must buy - Miracle in a jar!
I've been dabbing it on potential breakouts and current pimples now for over six weeks and the stuff is a miracle. It feels a bit goopy at first, apply it sparingly - trust me... a little goes a LONG way. the only thing that works for me!
i mix this equally with moisturizer and my acne is mostly gone!i usually have very oily skin, cystic acne, black heads, white heads and red acne scars... i've tried many products, including prescription acne meds and nothing has worked like this!! i've only been using the product for 2 weeks and i haven't had any cystic acne since i've started using it! my skin flakes off but that's helping the red marks fade fast... i just wipe my face off with a towel to get rid of the peeling skin. if you've suffered with acne and haven't had any luck with other products, give this a shot!

I have tried many other products for acne and none of them have worked like this one. Also, I have recommended this product or a homemade concoction with sulfur to others with very promising results. If you suffer from acne, I would strongly recommend you try this product (or any other sulfur product of sufficient concentration) before trying all the harsh chemicals on your skin such as benzoyl peroxide (proactive, etc) which are not only dangerous but are also pretty expensive.Why only four stars? Because this product does not dry very well and you have to apply it and then remove it after 10 minutes which is pretty inconvenient. Think about it, if you are going to apply it morning and night then you would have to wash your face four times a day since you would also want to clean your face before applying it. Best Over the Counter Acne Product Money Can Buy
I've tried many over the counter and prescription acne products, and this one is definitely most effective for me. It is a 2.5% benzoyl peroxide solution which is actually more effective than the 10% solutions and is far less irritating. It's name is "On-the-Spot," but my dermatologist instructed me to use is all over as a preventative measure, as it is relatively gentle compared to some other treatments. Just use a moisturizer with sunscreen after applying it. As with ALL benzoyl peroxide treatments, there is a risk of bleaching to clothing. I've noticed that it really only bleaches lighter colors, such as pastels and some grays, but I've never had it bleach anything with bold colors such as black, navy, gold, etc.

Can't live without it, no more shiny red nose
A note about my skin-type: I am a 30s very pale-skinned female with extremely oily skin.
