Great for long-term acne management
I use this product a bit differently than the average user in that I use it as an acne preventative. Before discovering this product by chance six months ago, my skin was in terrible shape. My face is very sensitive to most chemicals, to the point that I can't wear most commercial makeup. Acne medications seemed to make my skin worse as opposed to better. Benzoyl peroxide caused my face to peel constantly and salicylic acid seemed to make my face ruddy. I thought I was doomed to have acne forever because I have PCOS which, among other things, can cause oily skin and cystic acne. Everything turned around after I began using Adult Acnomel. This product features resorcinol (a medication used in the treatment of cystic acne, hidradenitis suppurativa, and rosacea) and sulfur (a natural antibacterial) as opposed to the harsher aforementioned agents. Acnomel is the best

Works on my 17 year old daughter
My 17 year old daughter has used this for a couple of weeks now and the breakouts on her face have cleared up. She is also using the "Neutrogena Acne Stress Control, Power Foam Wash." She had tried many different products including some very expensive acne kits sold on TV and they did not work.

This product does everything it claims. It clears up acne gently and moisturizes your skin at the same time. It also moisturizes enough so you don't have to use another moisturizer afterwards.I used to use Proactiv and I have really oily skin that dries out easily if I use too harsh of products. I find I have to have a delicate balance of acne clearing ingredients and moisturizers otherwise I have either really oily or really dry skin.Before using this product along with the Power Foam Wash has made my skin clearer, smoother and softer then I ever saw it while using Proactiv or any of the other systems I have tried. I love the tingling sensation I get after using this and how light it is on my skin. I went from having a bunch of zits on my forehead to very small if any zits on my forehead. Gentle, but effective
My skin isn't completely covered in pimples, but I am always breaking out, including those deep, painful ones. I got super diligent about my skincare a few months ago because I was tired of being in my mid-twenties with the skin of a teenager. I tried Proactiv, but I was left with skin that was red, flaky, irritated, and STILL breaking out. Dont Waste Your $ On An RX!!
This product is great and is highly effective. I have worked in pharmacy for 3 years and have seen people spend a lot of money on prescription acne treatments that basically do the same thing but only cost more, especially if you dont have insurance. This strength of Benzoyl Peroxide used to be RX only, but now is over the counter. It is rather strong and I do suggest that you follow the instructions on the package, especially if you have sensitive skin, to "ease into it", even if you are tempted to put it on 2-3 times a day at the very beginning. It may cause your skin to become very dry and flaky, somewhat ruining the benefits. Overtime though, many people's skin gets used to it and then you can increase the application as neeed.As other people have mentioned this product does say that it is a gel, but in fact is a white cream and does leave some residue on the skin. The best zit cream ever
If you need to get rid of a zit fast, then this is the best out there, in my experience.I put this on any zit (or blackhead trying to become a zit) that I spy before bed, and it knocks that sucker out. It does make my skin peel a tad, and it will probably do the same to you, so be careful not to overuse. Also, make sure you use a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer as well if your skin is really sensitive.EDIT: Something else that's great: This product caused old acne scars on my chin to fade very quickly. Acne scars are the worst because even if the zit goes away it looks like you still have it! So this product is great for that as well.SECOND EDIT: I wrote this review several years ago. I'm now 29 and this product doesn't work the same for me as it used to. So your experience with it may vary depending on how old you are. When I was younger, it was the best! Worked BETTER than Proactiv!!
First off I want to explain that I have had terrible acne off and on (mostly on though) for the past 8 years. I had to be put on Accutane my sophmore year for 6 months in high school and then again my freshman year of college for another 3 months. Let me start this out by stating that I am in my 30's and have tried every acne product known to man for about 15 years. The Best Acne Treatment Period
I don't have horrible acne but my forehead has always been oily and I get flair ups and get some natsty ones once in a while. The last couple of years it's gotten slightly worse. I've tried numerous things over the years. Clearasil cream, pads, various 3 part systems, washing my face numerous times a day, etc. Nothing worked. I stumbled on this on sale tucked away in a bottom shelf at the store. Thought I'd try it. Taking the pills alone my skin has totally cleared up and I haven't had any blemishes. inexpensive and most effective for me
There are several acne treatment solutions out there and I've tried almost all of them...murad, proactiv, klear action, clearasil, stridex, retin-a, etc. All of them left my skin oily or dry or irritated and none stopped future breakouts from happening plus they were quite expensive. I think I'm the minority in which months of proactiv did not help stop future breakouts.The problem with all of these treatments is that they're all topical and don't correct the imbalances within the body due stress, etc. When I first saw this product, I thought I had nothing to lose and it was cheap. I've been using this product for months. Using a popular off-the-shelf skin moisturizer, it's stopped major breakouts and limited ones that were going to appear. The results I had with this product compared to the ones above were the difference between night and day. WOW describes it all!
I have a 14 year old boy displaying signs of moderate acne. Started football and it really started looking bad. I wasn't ready to go to the dermatologist. Very positive results so far
I don't know why this product works when topical creams didn't do anything but it works. I had acne, a lot of it. And it would not go away. I tried everything, and blew a small fortune doing so until a I came across Clearzine. I've never heard of "capsules" to help get rid of acne and at first I thought they might be a scam but I tried every "medicated" pad in the store and that didn't help. Cysts finally gone!
Bought this product and was a bit skeptical because no other pills had worked (i think i became immune to the effects of antibiotics). I had terrible (hormonal)cystic acne that was painful and unsightly. I felt like at this point I had nothing to lose and decided to try the pills. I took 6 pills a day, 2 in the morning 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening. I ran out within 2 weeks so I ordered 2 more bottles and got a third one free. So far I have to say its working better than the amoxicillin or the doxycycline my derm prescribed to me. I also feel better about not taking anti-biotics on a daily basis.
