Cetaphil Antibacterial Gentle Cleansing Bar is indeed the optimum choice for my problem skin.This pH balance non-soap cleansing bar is a super gentle all over body wash. I even use it on my face in lieu of shaving cream - it's that soothing! The antibacterial ingredient - triclosan, also helps protect my freshly shaved face.CONS:This stuff's priceyCetaphil Antibacterial Cleansing Bar is very soft and it melts away quickly once it's under the shower stream.TIP: To reduce wastage of this pricey cleansing bar, don't lather up under the shower, lather up your washcloth instead and store your Cetaphil Cleansing Bar away from the shower (I keep mine in a covered soap dish).This product offers a few buying choices. Miracle soap for eczema and psoriasis sufferers!
I cannot express my gratitude for this soap. I've lived with eczema and psoriasis for the last 10 years. After trying Dial Gold antibacterial soap, I avoided antibacterial soaps altogether because I didn't like the way it dried out my skin. I was skeptical of Cetaphil, but decided to give it a try based on all the glowing reviews. It's been 3 months since I started using this soap and my skin has cleared up considerably. I haven't gone this long with clear skin for years. I don't know what is in this soap, but I will say it's close to a miracle for those of us with skin problems. I used to be exclusive to Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash (fragrance free), but I've now switched entirely to Cetaphil. This soap does not dry out your skin like other antibacterial soaps. In fact, it is so gentle that you can't even tell it's antibacterial. It's more pricey, but definitely worth it. I just hope they never discontinue manufacturing this wonderful product.

I LOVE this soap
We have an Indian/American household, I'm American my S.O. is Indian. His family sent us over some Medimix, and I fell in love! Its great for all skin conditions, acne, eczema, fungal infections, and just good skin. It is full of wonderful herbs that are great to clear and purify the skin that are used in Ayurvedic medicine, and it is very gentile on the skin and not at all harsh. I have very sensitive skin, and I've had no problems with it. Plus, it smells wonderful! I love Medimix! I wish I could find it more easily in the US. This is one of my favorites soaps, that are affordable enough to buy all the time. :) I love it! I cant recommend it enough, buy a bar and fall in love :D

Awesome soap!
I initially bought this soap for my son who is a wrestler to help prevent him from catching anything nasty while wrestling. I tried out a bar first for myself just to make sure it wasn't harmful or irritating to the skin. At the time I started using it I had a small patch of psoriasis on my hand and another spot on one of my elbows that wouldn't go away no matter what I tried, including prescription remedies. After a few days of using this, the psoriasis started going away. I ordered more bars and after a few weeks the patches were gone completely! My oldest daughter had some bad acne on her face and she used a bar of defense soap and it cleared up about 85% of the acne. One of my other daughters got a small patch of psoriasis on her cheek, and we use the defense wipes and essential oils and healing salve and it cleared that up in a matter of days! My whole family now uses defense soap and will never use anything else.

Skin maintenance
The first time I had a skin infection and was on long-term anti-biotics I also got opportunistic fungal infections. Those were not getting taken care of by standard prescription-level ointments and cream, which was worrying as I was nowhere near close to the end of my anti-biotics. Searching for a way to help get rid of the fungus I ran across the Defense products and decided that since they were made to help stop the spread of some pretty nasty diseases of the skin in MMA, it was worth a try. Within two weeks the fungal infections were on the retreat after using the soap along with an antiseptic wash (which was for the bacterial infection and did nothing against the fungal infection). Once the fungal infection had been abated in two more weeks I went on to use Defense soap and gel with my other shower items. After I got over the first skin infection and had it recur, I used the Defense products and got no fungal infections on the second long course of anti-biotics...

Wet Ones moist towelettes really do a great job of helping you clean up your hands and face when you can't get to a sink with soap and water! These are indeed great for fighting off bacteria; and they have a light, mild scent that I like, too.Just as the other reviewer noted, these are easy to pull out of their dispenser. Just open the canister and pull one out, one at a time until you're done with the canister--then get another one! I am sure that once you try this product you will be very satisfied.The canister is small enough to fit into a travel sized carry on piece of luggage; and this is great if you want to avoid public restrooms in airports, bus and train stations, and airplane bathrooms, too.One thing: if you are allergic to scents or perfumes you may want to try another product. After 30+ years, this finally did the trick!
I have had acne since I was 13 and I'm in my 40s. It never got better...only accelerated to the point where it became cystic. I had severe breakouts, cysts, uneven scarred skin, fine mealy rashes of white heads...never a smooth face. As hormones did their thing in my 30s my skin got worse...for the first time in my life...I didn't want to go out of the house because the cysts had gotten so bad I was at my wits end. I found this...quite by accident...tried in double time with the face doctor soap an inside of 30 days, my own mother was doing a double take at how significant the difference was in reduced scarring and what looked like a complete retreat of the acne . I have used it religiously since...Its been about 2 years now and I am constantly amazed when I wake up in the morning and my skin is smooth, soft and the scars are continuing to lighten (I was a 'picker' so I had REALLY dark bad scarring...no pocks...just marks). Please try if you have Rosacea
I have never wrote a review for anything but I think it would be wrong not to tell about my experience w/this. I never thought I would see my skin again. I tried everything thing in the world & my face only got more inflammed. I bought this as I saw pretty good reviews & have been amazed. The first time I used this soap my face looked less red...it has gotten better every day there after. I actually look forward to washing my face with this soap...a task that resulted in pain before. I am not taking my meds & still my face improves everyday. I credit this soap with my face clearing up...please try this if you have Rosacea. I am sure it will not be the answer for everyone however for this price it is worth a shot. Good luck & please give this a try.

I've been using this soap for 6 weeks now
I'm a hairy, rashy person who has a lot of minor allergies. When I read about the mites, I was intrigued. I thought it could be possible that I was having an allergic reaction to the mites' saliva or other excretions, so I had to try this soap.I like to give any new product a month or more before I judge it, and here's what I think:This is the best thing for my skin I've ever found and I consider myself a veteran in the acne war.I'm 40 and I've had acne since I was 12. I used tetracycline and accutane as a teenager. I've used benzoyl peroxide for over 20 years and had a brief stint with retin A.This is the only thing that has made my skin better. the hundreds of rashy forehead bumps are gone.This in itself is miraculous, but the rest of my face has also cleared up.I still get the occasional zit or two but now I can even leave the house without cover up on my face. I'm fine with one or two pimples compared to the red, active 40 I had before...
