Great for sensitive skin
I have used this Basis gel cleaner for years. I have found only 1 other product that cleans my face without breaking it out or causing blotchiness and that is Aveeno. This Basis cleaner does a good job cleaning your face, smells nice, and is good for sensitive skin. FYI the Basis Sensitive Skin cleanser does not work very well. This face wash is gender neutral (not ultra girlie), so even my husband will use it.I am careful about what I use on my face, and this product works for me. Plus it is a great value. The 6-ounce tube lasts for a long time too, b/c you only need a little to wash your face. The drug stores I shop at have stopped carrying this product, so it's nice to be able to order it here on Amazon.

LOVE Basis
This is an awesome basic face cleanser. I love how it smells, lathers, rinses, and how my face feels afterwards. Skin is clean and soft. This cleanser is said to be for normal to oily skin. But if you have sensitive skin that is not SUPER sensitive, I'm sure you can use this. That's the kind of skin I have. I tried other formulas that are made for sensitive skin (Cetaphil) and found those to be too gentle that it didn't give me the clean feeling I wanted. This cleanser took off my make-up and really gave me balanced results--dry parts were cleaned without over drying and oily parts were cleaned and unwanted oils were removed. I stopped using this cleanser for a while only because I couldn't find it in stores anymore. I'm so glad that Amazon carries it and at an even better price than before since I'm using Subscribe and Save. I highly recommend this cleanser. Refreshing scent and clear skin!
I've battled with the occasional zit for years now. You know what I'm talking about- it's the red spot that appears on your face before an important meeting. Many times I found myself at the drug store, pondering the fate of my face for the next month as I used another bottle of experiement face wash. I originally bought Basis face wash because I liked the light fragrance. It has a medium foaming action (so you don't feel like you're inhaling it before you can wash it off) and it seems to clean my skin very well because when I use it regularly I don't have any acne problems. It also moisturizes/ or leaves enough of your natural oils that my skin still feels supple and not crispy like some face cleaners will do. By far, this is my favorite face wash- a couple months ago I feared it was out of production because my drug store stopped carrying it. One of the best facial cleansers I have found...
Normally I don't stray from my long time standby St. Ives facial cleanser, but I fear it's being discontinued so I am testing other products to see if I can find something else just in case.I am impressed with Basis, it is similar to what I have been using in many ways. It is a light cleanser, but foams up nicely, you don't need to use a lot, the dime size recommendation is a good one. My face felt really nice and clean afterwards. I follow it up with my trusty moisturizer and I have nice smooth cheeks.Overall, I give this 4 and a half stars. 6 oz. isn't a bad size but I am used to getting 10 oz, plus I wish it was in a pump bottle. Oh well. Another drawback is that Basis isn't easy to find. I have seen it at Ulta and Walmart, not sure anywhere else though. Hopefully this isn't another product that I will like that gets the ax!Give it a try! It's good stuff....

It is a Geat Product at keeping Breakouts to a Minimum!
My only complaint with this product is that it has made my face dryer than usual. I actually have sensitive skin that is also combination oily But...it has dried my face out in certain areas and it kinda makes my complection dull. The product does a great job keeping me from major breakouts but I still have to slather my face in moisturizer and due to having oily skin..I am not used to doing too often! But still 4 Stars!

Excellent product!
I used Phisoderm and a Buff Puff for more than 20 years. Then a marketing genius at Phisoderm decided they would push an acne-treatment Phisoderm that stores now stock instead of the original one. I tried the new Phisoderm and it made my face peel, which was gruesome. I had to find a new face wash and found this one. Basis is gentle, moisturizing, inexpensive, and has a pleasant fragrance. Used with a Buff Puff, Basis will keep your skin soft, silky, and clean. Plus, I like to squeeze tube.

Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash
I have very, very oily skin, and although this product is not specified for oily skin, it is extremely effective for removing excess oil and cleaning out my pores. Other products I've tried specifically formulated for oily skin tend to be overly drying and irritate my skin. This product doesn't irritate my skin at all. It's so gentle, I can't believe it's as effective as it is. It also leaves my skin squeaky clean and petal soft. Plus its full of wonderful botanicals. It's definately one of the best face washes on the market under 10 bucks.

The Only Cleanser I Will Use
Cleaner Clean Face Wash is the only cleanser I will use. I have sensitive skin and have tried several different cleansers. Either they do not clean my skin sufficiently, or they cause a chemical burn that looks and feels terrible. Basis does a great job of cleaning my oily skin and is extremely gentle. I also appreciate the clean fresh scent. It is not overpowering as so many products are today. It does not interfere with my perfume and I don't walk around smelling the residue on my skin all day either. I guess you can tell I am a picky customer, which should tell you how wonderful the Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash really is. I used to buy this at Walmart or Target, but in their infinite wisdom they quit carrying it in favor of products that do not work nearly as well. I am glad to see it here and I will be ordering 6 tubes very soon. I don't ever want to run out!

Great face wash - can't find this in stores any more
I've been using this face wash for about 5 years now, but I haven't found it in any stores in the past several months. The face wash is great for oily skin - it removes makeup really well and is soap-free, so is good for sensitive skin. We've stocked up and are hoping that Amazon continues to carry it. The price was better than any of the online drugstores as well.

Excellent Product
I bought some of this face wash at the grocery store, only to discover later on that [...] carries it for a better price. This face wash says it's for normal to oily skin, but my skin can get extremely dry, and I am in love with this product. There's a clean tingle after using it, the smell is fresh and clean, and it's inexpensive. If you have dry skin, I also recommend pairing it with Complex 15 as a face moisturizer afterward. I discovered it on Amazon, and am more impressed than I have been with any other moisturizer.

The best bar in town
A dermatologist suggested our son use basis soap 30 years ago. He did and helped his skin problems. Decided if the doctor recommended it for teenage son it would be good for his mother. Been using ever since. I purchase in quantity and I unwrap the bars and store. Exposed to air it becomes hard milled and it lasts longer.

True Sensitive Skin Soap...5 Stars
I have tried and tried over the years to find a bar soap that won't cause me splotches and doesn't have a fragrance that bothers my chemical sensitivities. This is the one!!!! I am so excited that I found this. Usually the fragrance free bars either have some strong smell (to me) or they aren't worth a flip. This one has a very very light nice scent...it's almost imperceptible, actually it probably is to others who don't have nose that smells and is allergic to everything! Had I known it had even a hint of a scent, I wouldn't have bought it because I would have thought that it would break me out. So don't let it deter you. Not even a hint of redness after I bathe. This soap is fabulous and I highly recommend it!!!

my choice for facial soap
My top and only choice for facial soap. It's cheap and very effective, what more can you ask for. It's very gentle on your skin, won't dry it out, but has great cleaning power--gets everything off your face without leaving anything else on like other face washes do. This soap paired with acne.org benzoyl peroxide 2.5% cream spread generously has been my working solution to acne for at least 8 years!

Great product
These wipes are really handy. The individual packaging allows you to just slip them in your back pocket and use them whenever. I have somewhat sensitive, T-zone skin and they do a good job of removing dirt and oil without irritating my skin. I will definitely be purchasing these again.

Stays Moist
We love the Basis Cleansing Cloths because they are individually wrapped which keeps each cloth moist. Also, the cloths are very gentle and non drying to the skin. They are great for travel as you don't have to take the whole box with you, only what you need for that trip. We have been using these cloths for over 10 years now.
