Cetaphil is best for me year after year
When I find a product to be excellent, I tend to remain loyal. I may try others, but I return to the one which continues to prove it's excellence year after year. Despite more costly products I've tried as samples, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been my cleanser of choice for many years. I've tried a generic brand from CVS and found it to be much more slimy and thick than the real thing and gave it away to a less scrutinizing customer.My skin and eyes are extremely sensitive and can become dry, so I am very cautious when trying new products. This one was recommended by a dermatologist and I'm very grateful for the suggestion because it meets my desires in a cleanser. It is extremely gentle, fragrance free and can be used directly on my eyes. I apply it onto my dry face, rub it all over, including the eyelids, then rinse it off and pat my face dry. Gentle Enough for the Most Sensitive Skin
I've used this skin cleanser for close to 20 years and love it!!! Very gentle, doesn't dry out skin and removes makeup wonderfully. Gentle enough to remove eye makeup too. Leaves skin moisturized and soft. Be sure not to confuse with Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser...totally different, but deceivingly similarly looking on the shelf.

Use this for two weeks and you'll be amazed!
This is a really great cleanser, mild yet incredibly effective. It takes a while to find out how great it is, though; the cleanser doesn't suds up, doesn't have a great scent (or any scent!) and won't give you that "fresh clean" feeling right after you're done washing. Use it for several days, though, and you'll be won over: it does a great job of clearing your skin of dirt and make-up so there's nothing left to aggravate even very sensitive skin; it rinses really clean; it will leave your skin dewy but not oily. good for average skin types but too mild for problem skin
I picked up a sample of this at a health fair and flashed back to getting samples of Cetaphil when I when to my dermatologist's office several years ago. I don't know if they still hand this out at dermatologist offices today. To me, it never made much sense that my doctor recommended this for my very severe acne. It's good for average skin or those with the occasional oily spots and break-outs but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for anything more serious than that because it's a mild cleanser - too mild for anything more severe than the typical skin-cleaning needs. For those kinds of problems you need a deep cleanser.The reviews saying this doesn't do a good job removing make-up pretty much prove my point. Even this type of Cetaphil for oily skin isn't much stronger than soap. Out of the samples I got from my dermatologist I found the Aveeno products far more effective at deep cleaning (Aveeno is an oatmeal-based product and oats are natural exfoliators)... Cetaphil's Daily Cleanser is great for sensitive skin. I have a hard time finding facial products that don't irritate my skin. Cetaphil is one of the few that cleanses without drying, and leaves my skin soft and smooth. Without irritation or blemishes. This stuff goes a long way. I bought a large bottle last year and I am still using it. You don't have to use much to clean your face either, using a lot would just be a waste of soap.I have an oily T zone and very dry cheeks. It has been hard to find a gentle cleanser that gets the oil off but keeps the cheeks as they are. This stuff ROCKS. I have tried expensive designer milk cleansers and face soaps, but this one really beats them all. My face does not feel dry or taut after washing. Some people mistake this taut feeling as cleanliness, but it's really the soap stripping all the natural moisture from your face! Excellent recommendation from my dermatologist!
I went to the dermatologist for help with my very dry and very sensitive skin. My dermatologist recommended that I no longer exfoliate due to the sensitivity and try Cetaphil. I'd heard of it before but never wanted to try it.So I've been using Cetaphil for only a week, and my skin is radiant! My pores are tiny, my t-zone is no longer flaking, I have no more random annoying whiteheads, and my face is absolutely glowing. Even my boyfriend has commented on my newly supple complexion!The product also doesn't leave my skin looking/feeling oily later on, even in the morning after I wake up. Cetaphil feels very balanced and light while managing to be quite effective. I also like that it is fragrance free -- I do not need the added ingredient on my sensitive face.I ~highly~ recommend this product if you're still looking for one that works. Love this Stuff!
I recently switched to Cetaphil from Clinique's Dramatically Different lotion, and I will never go back! I am in my twenty's so my skin is beyond that awkward teen stage but not yet at the point where I am using any thing to stop or lessen wrinkles. Since the switch, my pores don't feel as clogged, I hardly ever break out, and the SPF is in the lotion so I don't even have to think about if my face is protected from the sun! Very hydrating - absorbs fast
I have dry skin, and I've struggled with finding a moisturizer for my face that was very hydrating but not too greasy. This product is great!! I don't have dry flaky skin any more. I was skeptical...
For a few months I had a major issue with acne. It was weird for me because I am in my late twenties. I went to the dermatologist and he said the face wash I was using was too harsh. My skin gets very oily and I always thought I need a good face cleanser to help with the oil and get the dirt out of my pores (large pores). However, the dermatologist assured me to give this a try and it should be more than enough for my skin. Surprisingly, my dermatologist was right! Now, my skin is much more clearer and soft. The cleanser removes the makeup and surface oil. Once or twice a month I use a facial mask with sulfer in it which helps my large pores. I always use a toner (Thayers rose or lavender) after cleansing my skin. If I apply make up, I make sure I use OCeight before application. I will not be using any other face wash!
