Excellent recommendation from my dermatologist!
I went to the dermatologist for help with my very dry and very sensitive skin. My dermatologist recommended that I no longer exfoliate due to the sensitivity and try Cetaphil. I'd heard of it before but never wanted to try it.So I've been using Cetaphil for only a week, and my skin is radiant! My pores are tiny, my t-zone is no longer flaking, I have no more random annoying whiteheads, and my face is absolutely glowing. Even my boyfriend has commented on my newly supple complexion!The product also doesn't leave my skin looking/feeling oily later on, even in the morning after I wake up. Cetaphil feels very balanced and light while managing to be quite effective. Love this Stuff!
I recently switched to Cetaphil from Clinique's Dramatically Different lotion, and I will never go back! I am in my twenty's so my skin is beyond that awkward teen stage but not yet at the point where I am using any thing to stop or lessen wrinkles. Since the switch, my pores don't feel as clogged, I hardly ever break out, and the SPF is in the lotion so I don't even have to think about if my face is protected from the sun! Plus it's more affordable! And in this economy getting a great product at a great price is crucial!

Very hydrating - absorbs fast
I have dry skin, and I've struggled with finding a moisturizer for my face that was very hydrating but not too greasy. This product is great!! I don't have dry flaky skin any more. It absorbs fast and really helps my make-up go on smoothly. I like that it also has some SPF as well.

Great Product. A Regular Item in Our Grocery List
Cetaphil is an amazing product. Our family has been using it for such a long time that I can remember. It is not sudsy like ordinary soap which makes it very easy to rinse. You will not spend a lot of time just to remove that slippery feeling when using soaps. After you dry with a face towel, you will feel the difference on your skin. Oil is gone without you face feeling stretch dry. It is very gentle.

Cetaphil is best for me year after year
When I find a product to be excellent, I tend to remain loyal. I may try others, but I return to the one which continues to prove it's excellence year after year. Despite more costly products I've tried as samples, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been my cleanser of choice for many years. I've tried a generic brand from CVS and found it to be much more slimy and thick than the real thing and gave it away to a less scrutinizing customer.My skin and eyes are extremely sensitive and can become dry, so I am very cautious when trying new products. This one was recommended by a dermatologist and I'm very grateful for the suggestion because it meets my desires in a cleanser. It is extremely gentle, fragrance free and can be used directly on my eyes. I apply it onto my dry face, rub it all over, including the eyelids, then rinse it off and pat my face dry. Gentle Enough for the Most Sensitive Skin
I've used this skin cleanser for close to 20 years and love it!!! Very gentle, doesn't dry out skin and removes makeup wonderfully. Gentle enough to remove eye makeup too. Leaves skin moisturized and soft. Be sure not to confuse with Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser...totally different, but deceivingly similarly looking on the shelf.

Really Great Gentle Facial Cleanser

Cetaphil disappointment
I agree with most of the previous reviewers - this product is a disappointment. I bought it, thinking the Cetaphil name AND a sunscreen - just what I need! However, I have noticed very mild stinging on several occasions. The product also clearly states on the back NOT to use around your eyes. Ok, but I thought the eye area was one of the more important areas to make sure that it stayed moisturized - so having to purchase a seperate moisturizer for my eye area is an inconvenience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product.

Absolutely no need for expensive moisturizers.....
This stuff is the BEST and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg!! No perfumes or anything that can irritate your skin.Just simple, plain, no-nonsense moisturizer--for use on your face and all over.A few years' ago, my eyes started burning and tearing after a long day of wearing makeup at work. It got worse, I couldn't wait to get home and wash my face. It took a while, but I finally figured out it wasn't just the makeup, it was the moisturizer I was using also.Long-story-short, my cousin introduced me to this. I buy the biggest tub they offer (20 oz). I use it under makeup in the a.m., my arms and elbows; and at night after washing my face (they make a cleanser also, if you're interested).You can spend ridiculous amounts of $$ on moisturizers; believe me, I've done it. No more. This stuff works the best for me; I won't use anything else.

Allergen inside - beware!
I bought this product based on a recommendation by my pediatrician, as well as recommendations from friends, for my daughter's dry skin/eczema. This product did not help her and caused her much discomfort. We later learned she is allergic to almonds and this product contains Almond Oil, to which she reacted negatively.I gave it 3 stars because I know for some people, it works great, but the fact that it contains a highly known allergen makes it risky in my opinion. We switched to California Baby, and it worked much better for us.

Fabulous for sensitive skin
I have suffered from eczema since my last pregnancy, and it hasn't gone away. I tried to treat myself with products from the natural & organic lines, but found no relief. I usually shy away from products like Cetaphil and others, loaded with chemicals and what not. But I tried it out of desperation (and convenience when my dermatologist handed me a free sample).This moisturizer is awesome. It's fragrance free, and so gentle. No matter how inflamed my face is, it never irritates or burns. I can even apply this right after an occasional exfoliation, and no irritation at all! I love this lotion....and was quite surprised.
I've had this lotion on my shelf for months and kept using my 'fancier', good smelling stuff. I guess you could say that I am sort of a 'lotion junky' because I have so many. I even have some in a storage room because I don't have enough room on my closet shelves for all of them. I have some that I love the fragrance and some that I just thought were better for some reason. I don't know why because I hadn't even opened my Cetaphil lotion yet. Maybe because it's in such a plain bottle. But, as they say, "don't judge a book by it's cover". I now know this applies to my Cetaphil lotion. For a while now I thought Olay Quench was the best, but I finally opened my Cetaphil yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! I don't think my skin has felt this soft in a long time. I liked these product especially the wash, it probably wasn't as luxurious as i like my face washes to be but saying that its probably better than using a lot of other products out there that are highly perfumed. As it is an american brand and was never readily available in Ireland to buy till recently i had to give it a go. I went ahead and purchased the face wash and moisturizing face lotion. With other washes i've found myself shovelling it on,washing my face over and over to fully remove every inch of make-up. While there are fantastic products available here, I think that because we are such a tiny country there are millions of other amazing products out there that we've just not heard of.
