Kinda works but it is cost effective
I've had a few minor scars on my legs and this product works great. It lightens up my scars to make it less noticeable but will not make it go away completely. It is also a great moisturizer. Results Came Faster than I Expected
UPDATE 2: Bio-oil continued to work, and it actually helped the scar area look all the same when I got some sun on it this summer. I did find a picture of the original injury (it's not for the squeamish, but it will show how long my original was. UPDATE: It has been a little over three weeks since I started using Bio-oil. In fact, I stopped using it four days ago to see if the positive results were only temporary. While I was using Bio-oil on the liver spots, not only did the spots fade, but other nearby spots (2.5 inches away) faded, too, even though they were not applied directly with Bio-oil. The spots came back after two days of not using Bio-oil, not as dark, as they were, but they did come back. My forehead scar has continued to disappear even after I stopped, so I am going to continue putting Bio-oil on it. I am 36 years old and I've tried many, many lotions and creams from Channel to Nivea and everything in between. When I purchased this I was using an somewhat expensive thick Italian face cream with a beautiful perfume. I got the Flexitol oil after reading that it was a good budget substitute for a VERY expensive face oil I had read about in a magazine (and was about to order until I found out the price) I would layer it- first this oil after washing, then the cream I had. Sometimes I skipped the oil, thinking to myself, "who knows if any of it makes any difference!" I love the ritual, fragrance and feeling of nice creams.When I ran out of the Italian cream and was unemployed with no more $$$ to spend on creams, I was down to just this oil. Did it's job
I had continuous acne problems on my face before using this, and after using many antibiotics and topical treatments, my g/f recommended I use this and it has pretty much completely cleared my acne. Top to learn more
A little pricey, but worth it for me
I bought a 2-oz version of this at Ulta as a kind of impulsive buy at the checkout counter since it was a nice, travel-friendly size, I've always heard good things about Murad, and, hey, a little vitamin C can't be bad. I've tried many cleansers and this is the first that actually does something for my skin (which is pretty normal, but occasionally breaks out). Some cleansers wash off makeup but do nothing else and others do a little too much, stripping my skin of oils and leaving it taut and dry. This, however, cleansed gently and left my skin feeling softer, smoother, and clearer the next day. I can't vouch for it being an "environmental shield," or for any functional purpose of the little orange beads, but I like the way it left my skin and it's definitely a go-to when my skin breaks out. Since it helped so much with acne, I'm temped to try other products in the line, as well as Murad's line intended specifically for acne... I'll see how they compare! Top to learn more
