Not perfect, but still great.
I've been using this stuff for years, and I do love it. I have to say, though, it has a hard time with some things, mainly mascara and eyeliner. There's always a little that isn't removed. I wind up having to do "detail" work with a q-tip to try to remove what's left along my lashlines. It never stings, and feels nice and soothing. No oily residue!
I really like these--and I have tried many others. What impresses me most is that I don't have to deal with that oily residue that most other makeup remover pads leave behind. I find it harder to remove the oily residue and if you don't get it all off, it can adversely affect your makeup the next day--mascara and eyeliner runs and smudges, etc. I guess I haven't had the problems other people are finding with waterproof mascara, etc. I find that it does remove that. I just leave the pads on my lashes a little longer, soak them well, etc., before I start wiping off the mascara. It works for me.

My new favorites; move along Almay
I've used the Almay makeup remover pads (the ones in the small round container) for years. And they have slowly gotten more expensive. So for awhile I switched to gauze pads and an eye-makeup remover solution. Eh - it worked, but I didn't love it like I did the Almay pads. Then, I stumbled across the Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes. I'm hooked. They are big enough that you can wash your entire face with them and still have a section available to take off your eye makeup (waterproof liner and mascara!) They have a wonderful lavender smell. (I suppose if you don't like lavender you may not like these.) I gave one to my daughter one night because I wanted her to try a new eyeliner, and she came back later and said, "can I have some of those for Christmas?" I will admit they are not cheap. I haven't tried many make-up removers before, I usually just go with soap and water. These weren't too bad. They removed all my make-up, including mascara and eyeliner. I didn't get that raccoon look that you usually get when you try to remove mascara, which was great.The packs are resealable which is nice, it keeps the towelettes moist. The thing I didn't like about them was as another reviewer remarked, they do leave a slight film on your face. An almost greasy feeling. Also, if I got any of it in my eyes, they would slightly burn.I always did a thorough rinse with water after using them, which took the residue off, but the fact that it left the residue (and slightly irritated my eyes), is what made me give this product 3 stars. Can't live without it
I have decided I absolutely cannot live without this product. My last bottle ran out about a month ago and so I opted to run to the drug store and pick up some generic remover and BOY was I sorry ~ it made my eyes blood red!I then opted for Avon's remover and hated that I had to practically scrub my mascara off my face, plus it barely removed it!So I called my Mary Kay lady last week and begged her for a bottle which she gladly brought over! I've since thrown away my other non-Mary Kay bottles!This is the best product on the market! Eye makeup comes off so easy and gently with a cotton ball and no rinsing required!I LOVE IT!!! Strips the Make Up Off!
I use waterproof Dior mascara, which is very dark and difficult to remove. I've used other eye-make up removers and the only ones that I really LOVED were this and the Shiseido make-up remover. A lot of others leave a kind of film all over your eyes. At $15 vs. $26 though, hands down the Mary Kay remover wins.I now use Waterproof LashBlast Volume Mascara. The Mary Kay doesn't work quite as well on it as it did on the Dior, but it still does the job quite well. I've found I do need to let the mascara "soak" in the solution for a bit though. adequate for waterproof mascara
This eye makeup remover is awesome! It works perfectly for non-waterproof mascara and adequately for waterproof mascara. I usually apply it twice for waterproof mascara - I simply used my fingers cuz don't like to use cotton pad, but I guess cotton pad/towelette would work better. Top to learn more

Careful if you're acne prone!
A few short days after beginning to use this product, I had a major nasty breakout on both sides of my face, around my cheek bones. This is a very unusual place for me to have pimples, so I quickly pinpointed it to this product as the only thing I had recently changed in my routine.In fairness though, I was applying this cream to my eyes, then applying my regular cleanser to the rest of my face and then rinsing it all off at once. I imagine the water was causing it to run down my cheeks and clog my pores. Since then, I have lessened the amount I'm using, and I wipe it off with a kleenex before cleansing the rest of my face, and the breakouts are nearly gone.Not sure I'd buy again though, I'll probably seek out a product that is completely non-comedogenic. Best eye makeup remover ever!
I've tried several eye makeup removers, and I must say that Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads are the best.Pros:1.) Travels great! The small jar with the screw on/off lid is made excellent for travel. Since the pads come "pre-soaked" in the makeup remover liquid, there is no need to carry around cotton balls or tissues when you're on the go. Also great to keep in the shower!2.) Removes ALL eye makeup, completely. I've seen reviews stating that it doesn't but unless these people are wearing concrete on their lashes, this will do the trick. I wear eyeliner, shadow, and mascara everyday and this leaves no trace at all. This also removes waterproof mascara as well as long-lasting lip color. Also... some eye makeup removers leave a makeup "residue" around the eye area; this doesn't.3.) Moisturizes... Remember that eye skin is very sensitive that is why it requires a gentle make-up remover, like the Colour Caress Gentle Moisturising Make-up Remover, for a delicate skin. EYES: Apply a few drops of make-up remover on a cotton ball and then lightly press one of the cotton balls to your lid and lashes.
I've started using something similar to this to wash my face on the nights I'm too lazy to do the oil cleansing method (which I love, by the way…who would have thought that the best way to get my INCREDIBLY oily skin under control would be to wash... When it comes time to wash my face, I just dip my flannel wash cloth into the solution, swipe it around my face a few times and voila…clean and moisturized. But I had been wary about bacteria until I researched and found that using lavender oil is a great way to make it antibacterial as I found an antibacterial solution to clean cutting boards and it uses just water and lavender ( http://www. I bought washcloths for only eye make-up remover use and wash them NO problem. Also, do not dip a pad and re-dip a used or partially used pad. It's become my first read in the morning as well :) I have been wanting to make my own makeup remover and face wash as I find store bought ones are either too expensive or full of chemicals. I also add a few drop of tea tree oil and vitamin E oil and store it all in a mason jar. The kinds of bad bugs that you'd worry about won't survive the hot water, the bleach, the detergent (even homemade) and the heat of the dryer, the dryness of the dryer or the heat, UV rays or dryness of being dried outdoors. Jill: If you use hot water and a lil' bleach plus dry the pads in the dryer or line dry in the sun you should have no problems with bateria.
