The Best Sunscreen for Kids' (and Adults'!) Faces
This is the best sunscreen out there for faces. It doesn't run into eyes and cause stinging on wet kids, unlike many other sunscreens labeled specifically for kids or babies. All 4 of my kids have sensitive skin and it has never caused a reaction or rash on any of them. Additionally, it is longer lasting (better waterproof performance) than other brands I've bought at the supermarket. During a full day on the water at the lake, I usually only have to reapply it once if we're doing a lot of in-and-out of the water. We use it for faces only because it's so costly, and use a supermarket brand kids' sunscreen for the rest (arms, legs, backs, etc). Can't recommend it enough!

great sunscreen!
I have been using this product since last summer. This is great for my kids as they usually spend 1+ hour outdoor each day. More importantly, it's great for me. I have super sensitive skin and get sunburn and heat rash and swelling all together if I went under the sun (with other SPF 45+ product on) for more than 30 min. Since I started using this one, knock on wood, so far I'm good. It makes your skin a little white, so you can tell if you put it on. But doesn't make you ungly or oily. I highly recommend this.

The only sunscreen that does not cause my 2 year old to have an allergic reaction
Other so called hypoallergenic sunscreen do contain ingredients that cause my daughter to have a rash. That's the only sunscreen that does not cause a reaction.

RoC ROCKS!
I have used Avon products, Clinique, and Mary Kay and none of them have givem me the results of my RoC products. This is the only product that I can put on in the morning and my skin feels smooth all day rather than getting the tight dry feeling at the end of the day that other products give me. I love the fact that I can order my RoC at Amazon and not have to go out shopping paying higher prices for other brands of even the prices that are at the store for my RoC products. perfect for summer
This product is different than anything I have tried before. It is very thin, almost the consistency of milk. It feels like nothing is on. I'm a make-up minimalist: I use a moisturizer, and sometimes a mineral powder. There is no "product sweating". What I mean is, sometimes a moisturizer/sunscreen makes white 'puddles' when out in hot sun. This product has none of that. It feels really nice on my skin. And the high SPF is awesome. I definitely recommend this product.

Light product won me over
Neutrogena Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizer SPF 50 With Helioplex is my new favorite SPF product for the face. I've destroyed my skin by exposure to the sun, so I do not go out without sunscreen, and this one is an absolute winner for my delicate and sensitive skin. Working in a garden, I often have felt my eyes burn and water with SPF moisturizers flowing as I perspired, but this stuff is great! I have been using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream with another SPF product on top, either a J&J product, Kinerase, or Kiehl's, but this is better for me than any of those, even the more expensive products. In a small bottle, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and the mixing balls let you know the product is moving around when it's shaken prior to use. The small tip allows for minimal liquid to be dispensed onto the fingers (directions say into the palm, but I use the fingers), so it's not wasted. I am not sensitive to the indiscernible scent and I've not shown any redness or sensitivity...

Don't know about the science, but...
I don't know about the science behind "helioplex" (my mozilla firefox browser puts a red line under the word, that should be your first clue it's a bit dodgy) but this thin lotion is a nice product that feels like it's working. I think it makes my skin look better (and isn't that what these products are all about?) The SPF 50 is great and the price is right. Neutrogena is always great for hypoalergenic products. This one smells a little like my mother's "skin so soft" but the scent doesn't linger.One of the better high-end lotions (hey, it's high end for me! I don't do the $50+ a gram lotions) I have tried.

In defense of greasy
I have dry skin, and this works perfectly as a daily moisturizer. It even removes a step from my routine (before I would apply moisturizer then sunscreen, this is effectively both). It doesn't melt into my mouth.It does make my face shiny --there's no getting around it- but that doesn't bother me.My mother hates the gunky texture of the SPF 15, and she uses the SPF 50 "fluide extreme" which is a drier formula, over a moisturizer. She warns that you have to let your moisturizer fully absorb before applying the sunscreen or else it all pills up and rubs off your face like eraser sweepings.

I love it
I have stage 3B Melanoma, the most deadly of skin cancers. I started using this sunscreen shortly after diagnosis. It is wonderful. I am a golfer and camper and am still out in the sun a lot. I have never gotten any sunburn since I started using this. My biggest complaint about sunscreen was that it made my skin greasy. This does not and at SPF 15, it completely protects me. My 89-year old Mom started using it also, after being an avid Clinique user for many years. She is so impressed.

Excellent for Winter time
UVA rays are contant throughout the year, UVB rays are based on actual intensity of sunlight. This is the best UVA sun protection on the market because of the combination of Memorex AND Avobenzone. To increase the UVB (SPF from 15 to 50) you would need to add either Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, or Oxybenzone for UVB protection.In America, I believe the FDA has not approved the combined use of Avobenzone with Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide together in the same sunscreen. I don't see why Oxybenzone, Avobenzone, and Memorex SR can't be combined, perhaps too many chemicals in one lotion imposes unforesen harm. This is why in order to raise the SPF and keep the sunscreen safe by FDA standards, it's either Avobenzone or sacrificing a little UVA to up the UVB.During winter, the UVB threat is lower than summertime, but the UVA threat is merely unchanged, so use this in winter. I have HEAVILY researched sunscreens for about 6 months. Here are my concerns and some some facts I have learned. I have no affiliation with any company. I am not a scientist. I have a newborn on the way and my wife and I live in a very hot area and we both are light skinned, and I am anal and analytical to a fault. take from this what you will.1. Harmful cancer-causing sunlight consists of UVA and UVB rays. But UVB are the rays that cause a tan. If you are not burning, you can still be getting pelted by UVA rays and not even know it-- Ask any dermatologist--Many people get cancer on their hands and arms even though they think they are always covering up, but in fact when driving for decades, UVA is damanging their skin badly--UVA can penetrate glass--2. "SPF" protection refers only to UVB protection. Many of the worst melanomas and skim damage are caused by UVA, although both UVA and UVB are very harmful. works and doesn't sting
My dermatologist told me to use Vanicream or Neutrogena for my melasma. Neutrogena stings like crazy after using an exfoliator or Retin-A. Vanicream feels like a dream. I have never had any tanning or darkening of spots when I have it on. I have normal to oily skin and it doesn't make me break out. It is a little oily, but only if you lay it on too thick. If you want a matte finish to your face, that's what face powder was made for!
