I found a very efficient way to use this. It works well for black/white heads
When I got it first, I was excited and used it on dry skin. It did not work!Then, as per youtube instructions i "steamed" my face for 15 minutes over a pan of boiling water and a towel over my head. Then I used the tool. This worked okay, but it was a hassle and not as effective. I was like.... meh...Then one day it struck me that after my 30 minute cardio workouts, my body temperature stays higher than normal for at least another hour, and that the skin on my face gets moist from all the sweat coming out of my pores. So I USED THE TOOL RIGHT AFTER MY WORKOUT. And it got rid of ALL my black/white heads. Even though sweat comes out of different pores than sebum, I think the moisture coming out of my skin is better than steam at wetting sebum in my clogged pores. Also, I continue to sweat for atleast another 15-20 minutes after I am done with my workout, so that gives me enough time to get rid of the gunk on my face.I "scrape" my skin with the side of...

Awesome Little Tool
I don't get a ton of blemishes, but when I do I can't resist the urge to pop the little buggers. My girlfriend pointed out one of these types of tools in CVS one day, but being the Amazon-addict that I am, I waited until I got home to order one online.This is a very well constructed piece of "equipment" and serves its purpose admirably. It does an EXCELLENT job of extracting white heads and black heads. One end is used for white heads and really gets all the gunk out, the other is used for black heads/clogged pours. This requires a bit more work, but still does a great job. Best of all, it doesn't leave my skin agitated and puffy like my fingernails do.If you get the occasional blemish, get one of these. They are cheap, easy to use, and effective.Recommended: Absolutely!

for $7, everyone should own this
I just got mine yesterday and my skin feels seriously so much better! I'm 22 ad I've been suffering from acne over half of my life. I've been to so many different dermatologists, paid for so many visits and prescriptions, and have had so many allergic reactions. I'm so glad to find something that I don't have to worry bout the side effects and long-term effects. Note that I have many tiny, pore sized whiteheads and blackheads on my face, chest and back. They are mainly more firm, and not the runny, puss-filled kind. In other words, when I squeeze them, a firm whitish matter comes out. While washing my face today with a benzoyl peroxide wash, I ran this across my face and it got about a third of the acne out and brought about another third closer to the surface. I can't wait to keep using this over the next few days to purge my skin! I plan on using this along with my doctor prescribed Retin-A micro gel, clyndamycin gel, and benzoyl peroxide face wash. You will see a difference.
Two and a half months ago, I had a mole removed from my upper lipline. Removal involved a vertical incision and six stiches. A few days after the stitches were removed, I started applying Mederma 2 to 3 times per day. I've used it for just over two months now. The scar color has really faded (it can easily be covered with make up now). The scar tissue is now barely raised and is flexible. I will continue to use it and feel pretty confident that the scar will eventually be nearly invisible. I plan to try Mederma on some older scars and am hoping for good results.NOTE: I have extremely sensitive skin and did not find this product at all irritating.

MEDERMA MAKES SCARS DISAPPEAR!!!!
My daughter burned her forehead with a curling iron. She is bi-racial, and the scar was white......therefore, the scar was extremely noticeable. Her doctor and the pharmacist said that Mederma is the best stuff to use. It's very expensive, but very worth it. My daughter was self-conscious about the scar at first. We've used Mederma several times a day for the last three months, and the scar is almost completely gone. It's not even noticeable now!

It does work--but you will need to keep buying it.
You will definitely see an improvement in your scars. I repeat that again with emphasis: you will see an improvement. I have to tell you that the improvement won't be until you use maybe five or more tubes over five months. The tube is not that large and it doesn't last all that long. It is costly, no matter where you buy it--the Internet or your local store. But, it is the only scar product I have tried that does what it says it will do---so for the third time: don't expect your scars to be 100% gone, even after five or six tubes. BUT: you will be pleased---very, very pleased, indeed. I would say a 90% improvement, and that is wonderful. But not from one tube. I do recommend it and I like it. Not messy and don't use too much as it flakes off. Follow directions. It is a fine product, but buy in bulk!!!

INVESTMENT
Think of how much $ you've spent over the years on cleansers, scrubbers, etc...think about it, seriously think about it..b/c after using this product, it made me think of how much I've wasted and should have spent it on this product. WHY you ask...No matter how expensive/cheap/raved about cleanser I've used, nothing really cleaned my face. It would either dry it up, leave some type of a residue, or just irritated my skin. After years of trial and error, I gave up, and stuck to good ol fashion water and oil of olay. I'm blessed with good skin, but I still have my problem areas. I got this as a gift. VERY GLAD I did.I was skeptical. I was hesitant and kinda scoffed at the idea that a rotating brush could do much for me. I felt my skin before I used the product, pretty darn smooth. This product is one of the best things I've ever bought for myself... It does exactly what it says: cleans your skin better than you ever thought you could, mildly exfoliates, and just makes your skin look fabulous. I can also tell it is softening my fine lines on my forehead (which are just starting). Once you use a clarisonic, you'll never go back to washing your face the regular way. I really like the Pro better than the one my friend bought awhile ago, b/c I changed it to a two minute timer b/c I have very oily skin, and I also like to be able to customize the speed (high after the gym, normal on a regular day). The benefits of this product can be seen immediately. You will experience softer, smoother skin after the first use and your face will really look and feel squeaky clean. My pimples don't last as long (sometimes disappear in less than 24 hours which never happened before), and my expensive skin care products are more effective. The real reason for the purchase was a bunch of blackheads on my chin and they are diminishing in quantity. Also they are more brown now than black which I could see after using a Biore strip. Hopefully they will eventually disappear. I recommend this product.

Excellent and definitely worth it!
I had pretty good skin to start with but there were some things I wanted to improve. Not only did this product improve the items I wanted to address but it also had some other benefits.***The texture of the skin in my tear troughs under my eyes was crepe like and would make the concealer look "cakey". The skin texture has been dramatically improved. The surprise is that my under eye circles almost invisible now. I don't even need to put on concealer anymore.***When I smile I would get a bunch of wrinkles under my left eye. There was one deep wrinkle and the other finer wrinkles. Those fine wrinkles are gone and the deep wrinkle is much less noticeable.***I had orange peel texture on my lower cheeks and around my mouth. Much of this is now gone. The deep texture on my left lower cheek is still there, but significantly improved.***The skin above my lips looks awesome. My hubby even said "the skin around your mouth looks great"...

VERY pleased
I started having problems with adult onset acne at about age 25 - am now 40. Have tried everything - oral antibiotics, topical antibiotics, retin-a, etc. etc. Despite trying numerous dermatologists, I never got what I considered good results - just a three minute visit and a couple of scripts. Decided to try this - at the price, nothing to lose. Man am I pleased. For the first time, acne is resolved (I have used the peel once a week for about six weeks). My scarring is improved and my skin tone is becoming much more even. Even improving my melasma. I would highly recommend this product. Word of caution. Acne will worsen after the first treatment - wait it out - it will improve Dramatically.

Definatly works!!
At first i was skeptical of this acid peel, but changed my mind soon after.I took before photos to see the change the peel would have on my face, and its only been about 4 weeks, but i will take pics soon of the after results after 6 weeks.Im 20, male, white, with slightly oily skin, and acne that sometimes turns horrible on me and makes cysts only on cheeks though. One cyst next to my eye and eyebrow left a bad scar.This stuff does tingle a bit, but very bearable. Used first for 2 mins, and had no effect, upped it to 4, same result. Used the full 8 mins the next day, started to see improvements. I modified the instructions a bit because my skin is used to exfoliations by 10% benzoil peroxide which only made pimples smaller and face a bit dry.I used every other day for the full 8 mins every time. But i suggest follow their instructions first before adjusting it. No down time here, and no redness like some people mentioned, and i dont apply...

This product is my Holy Grail
My skin and I haven't been on speaking terms for years. Horrible, brutal, stubborn, disfiguring cystic acne, so viciously tenacious that I had to go through...yes, count 'em...not one, but TWO rounds of Accutane to rid my self of it, and I STILL get a nice cyst on my back or chest every once in a while. I had pockmarks on top of pockmarks...forehead, cheeks, temples, chin, bridge of my nose even. I hate my skin, I really do. I've gone through 2 deep dermabrasions (through a plastic surgeon, not the micro kind), plus about 30 DEEP chemical peels. My scarring improved a lot.But professional options get expensive, and taking weeks at a time off while my skin healed wasn't feasible. So I tried other methods to get rid of the rest of the scarring.Over-the-counter products like Mederma didn't help. I always tend to stay away from chemical peels because of the horror stories I hear and because I have fair, oily, acne prone skin.I purchased the 35% peel just to try it; to see if I'm missing anything. I'm sorry I didn't have the guts to try it sooner. :o)It is absolutely fantastic. I had a couple of breakouts I could not, for the life of me, get rid of. I put this on with a cotton ball, and I did wait the full 4 minutes; it tingled, but did not burn in any way. I washed it off and thought "okay, no miracles here". My face did feel smoother but that's about it.The next two days I noticed quite the improvement. My chin cleared up and my face was, again, smoother, and more even and most importantly, no breakouts. I did not need to even put on powder (which I did not live without).You do have to use a moisturizer after the peel. Great product. It is your first chemical peel with training wheels
I have been using this product for a month to treat hyperpigmentation from pregnancy. I think the best way to apply this product is with a fan brush, with that being said I purchased my brush from a local craft store for $3 & it worked great. This product is a gel, but not in a thick hair gel sort of way, this product has the consistency of pancake syrup. If you apply this product & find it running into your eyes or down your face you are applying way too much product, all I needed was about a nickel sized amount of this gel to cover my whole face. I use the product every 5 to 7 days, and even though they send a small bottle that is enough for many applications.It is not advised that you exfoliate your skin prior to using this product. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser & then wait an hour before I apply the product.
