The name says it all
I have been using Neutrogena skincare for a couple of years now, and I've used the SPF 45, 55, and 70 sunblock, in addition to this one, on my face. I'm using exfoliating lotions, and have dark, sensitive skin that scars easily, so sunscreen is a must for me. This sunblock goes on much more sheer than the SPF 70 product from this line. It doesn't leave a pasty cast on my skin, and it doesn't sting or burn, even when it is close to my eye area. I highly recommend this item for those who need a high SPF.

Best facial sunscreen I've found
I have tried a lot of sunscreen, and this is by far the best I have found for my face.1. It goes on completely dry. You can't feel it AT ALL. I've been able to feel all the other sunscreens I've tried. You don't feel like there's oil on your skin clogging your pores.2. The smell isn't overwhelming.3. When you sweat, you don't feel it dripping down your face as with other sunscreens.4. I wouldn't recommend purposely getting it in your eyes, but with sunscreen, it's sometimes inevitable. Every other sunscreen has made my eyes sting so badly. This still stings, but much less than other sunscreens.In short, it's the most comfortable sunscreen I've ever tried.P.S. I tried the same version but in higher SPF. The smell was stronger on the higher SPF's, and they smelled weird and chemical-ish and sometimes gave me a headache. For that reason, I'd stick with SPF 30 rather than go to the higher SPF's. My doctor assured me...

Great product, but can hurt when applied around eyes
I really like this sunscreen. The UVA/UVB protection is so important, and most sunscreens only block UVA. The lotion goes on feeling like a regular greasy sunscreen, but it disappears rapidly into the skin and it truly doesn't feel greasy at all once it dries. I am not sure how or why, but I swear it also evens out my skintone. I do recommend applying a light coat of your regular moisturizer around the eyes first, as I find this sunscreen can sting when put on the delicate skin under the eyes. I made the mistake of slathering it on over my eyelids once, and I wouldn't recommend that you do that. I found when I sweated, the sunblock crept into my eyes. Ouch. So just don't apply it over the eyes and you should be fine. Anyway, great product.

Very Good for Sensitive Skin
As an Aesthetician (in training) I am constantly searching for products and reviews to see what will not only benefit me but my future clients. I'm also very eco-friendly and conscious about the environment. Most people are allergic to two things 1.) fragrances and 2.) preservatives. Avoiding products with both of those things will prevent you from breaking out with acne or hives. This sunscreen is really lovely. I enjoyed that it was not greasy ( one of my biggest pet peeves!) and had a decent SPF. If someone every mentions that they don't wear sunscreen because they want to get a tan tell them that you still get a tan with sunscreen minus the damage from the UVA and UVB rays!

Good for sensitive skin
I've been using this product for about three years now, I have very sensitive skin that breaks out with mostly anything with fragrance and other ingredients. I have been using this because this not only doesn't break me out, but it gives me the added sun protection. I love it!

Not greasy, Kept me sunburn free
I used this all over my body, not just my face and it kept me sunburn free while out in the sun all day in Southeast Asia. It didn't make me feel greasy like some other Alba sunscreens that I got. It's a winner.

No Residue!
This sunblock, Age Shield SPF 90+ is fantastic. I have darker skin, so I can't wear the sunblock that leaves the white streaks. Neutrogena's SPF 70 leaves that, unlike this one. I wondered why and found out that the SPF 90 has different active sunblock ingredients than the one that leaves the streaks. This sunblock provides outstanding protection from the sun too. I've put it on my face and chest and not my back, and realized tan lines on my back... ONLY where I'd put no sunblock! It's awesome for everyday use. I actually use it as a "moisturizer". It doesn't break me out, absorbs super-fast, and is completely non-greasy. And I use a powder makeup over it and it blends flawlessly without cakey areas. I can't say enough about this product, but I'll stop here for risk of sounding like an advertisement. Hopefully they never stop making this stuff...

I tried Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock SPF 90 and was amazed. The product dries to a matte finish and proved to be a great base for make-up. It made my pores look smaller and my skin more refined. Make-up stayed all day and no sunburn. People have been telling me that I have perfect skin! i don't. I have spent so much money on make-up primers that did not live up to their promises. It was by accident that I discovered the dual use for this sunblock. I will use it forever.

i read the one other review here and gave it a shot - same results - great under makeup - dries fast and not greasy and no residue...didn't realize how bad my old moisturizer was making my makeup look until i tried this... LOVE it!!!!btw the spf 85 neutrogena stuff - in a white and light blue tube is TOTALLY different from this - it leaves a white residue you have to scrap off before applying makeup - ick.

Animal friendly and works great
First off, the best thing about this product and the company EltaMD is that they are PETA approved which means they are 100% cruelty free. Amazingly this product is vegan as well.Besides being animal friendly, this sunscreen is awesome! It's consistency is light and it soaks into the skin. My skin is very prone to severe cystic acne and so far this has not broken me out. I am SO sick of companies thinking that if you are looking for an oil free non pore clogging product that they have to put salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in them which makes acne worse. Luckily EltaMD has made this perfect product not loaded with chemicals and skin drying crap! An added bonus is that the niacinamide in this product not only helps calm acne prone skin. but it helps with aging. This product is awesome for those of us that have adult acne and are looking for something that won't break us out, dry us out and will have anti-aging benefits.This is the best sunscreen as well as moisturizer...

Great Sunblock!!

Best Sunscreen EVER
My dermatologist recommended this product because I refused to wear heavy SPF on a daily basis under my make-up. This product is incredibly light -- it does not have any of the icky, thick, greasy feeling of every other sunscreen out there -- plus it works. I use it absolutely every day -- even if I'm indoors -- just out of habit. It is very reasonably priced for something this high quality.

My dermatologist gave me a sample of the Elta MD Skincare UV Facial SPF 30+ and I love it. After you rub it in, it feels soft and dry to the touch. Not at all greasy or irritating. Dermatologist's recommendation
I had laser treatment for rosacea...and EltaMD works for me...during my treatments, I got samples of SPF 30, 40, and 50. It is not fragranced, and it is absorbed quickly (unless you use the heavy duty 50 stuff, which is meant for sports and the beach. Then it is visible for a while.) The facial cream actually feels good on your skin....much like a moisturizer...it's not oily; it's not greasy. The skin feels normal within seconds of applying it.

Wow!
I have tried other Neutrogena Sunblocks ( Dry touch and Sensitive Skin) they both left my face either white or greasy. This was in my mom's bedroom so I decided to try it, I was amazed, it felt like I was wearing nothing. No white cast, no oily face. I'm prone to acne so I don't enjoy sunblocks but I have pale skin with freckles so I need sunblock. With my previous sunblock (cetaphil spf 50) I had to wear powder on top of it to get rid of the shine but with Neutrogena Spf 110 there is no need. The price is a little high but I loved it so much that I bought it the same day after trying it.

A MUST for everyday use!
Some Neutrogena products work for me and some don't-this is one that exceeds all other Neutrogena products! I have oily acne prone skin that is very pale. Over the years I have built up less sun tolerance, and a need for sunscreen daily because of the use of other products that my skin very sensitive to sunlight. It does leave a slight white sheen on the face-but because of this I only need a powder and not a liquid foundation as well. I have never burned when using this sunblock and my skin does not breakout because of it. Some sunblocks make my skin turn red and get a burning sensation around this eyes-this does neither and my eyes never water after application.This is both a chemical and physical sunscreen. It does have the spf smell even though it says it is fragrance free (depending on the tube/box you get) but it is nowhere near as bad as other sunscreens. Although it is suppose to be reapplied frequently-I apply it twice a day and most and do not have trouble with...

Pale people rejoice!
I love to go to the beach with my dog and with this sunscreen I can go for several hours without ending up burnt to a crisp. Even better, the cream doesn't feel sticky or greasy like a lot of sunscreens, so I find I'm much less hesitant to put in on. Their SPF 70 and 85 are also great for the body. I like the dry touch product line.

One of the biggest innovations since last year’s crop of facial SPFs has been the explosion of BB Creams onto the market and if you happen to find one to suit your skin and your pocket – I’m thinking particularly the Estee Lauder and Clinique... But I’d love a cheaper alternative to my beloved Chanel uv 50, I’ve gone through one every month and a bit since it was launched in 2008 but I cant find a cheaper mainly physical sunblock any where in Ireland. SHANAHANS ON THE GREEN One for the ladies who lunch, breakfast and spa, Prevage’s I think the Aldi one might be broad spectrum because in the pic I think I see the UVA in a circle on tge bottom right hand corner, does anyone know if the lacura and... Fragrance free, it’s definitely one of the best-priced offerings out there but do note I don’t have any information as to whether it offers broad-spectrum protection. What this means is if its levels of UVA and UVB protection are comparable – some creams offer more protection from burning as opposed to ageing. 25 and in addition to a high, broad-spectrum SPF of 50, it contains a trips-off-the-tongue vitamin C-derived technology called AA2G which helps to inhibit melanin synthesis.

For over 20 years I had been using a certain brand of facial sunblock, but on my last trip to TJ Maxx I found a tube of Eight Hour® Cream Sun Defense for Face SPF 50 Sunscreen ($30) for $9. The SPF of 50 is also twice as high as that of my previous brand of facial sunblock. It’s lightweight, almost runny in consistency, which means it absorbs into my skin quickly without the heavy feeling many sunblocks can leave behind (including the one I had been using for 20 years). It’s so lightweight, moisturizing, and pleasantly fragranced that I think I’ve found my sunblock for the next 20 years. I made sure to apply sunblock to my face before I left the house.

Regardless of the type of facial sunblock you choose, always try it on a small area, or better yet to see a dermatologist if you have sensitive skin. I would say that lotions are the most popular type of facial sunblock. Sunblock can come in various forms, creams, gels, spray on sticks, etc.
