Great product - Give it a try!
Aqua Glycolic's Facial Wash is a product everyone over 30 can definitely benefit from. If you have not used glycolic acid washes before, you might not appreciate the "creamy" cleansing you get rather than the "soapy lather" that most people like and expect from a cleanser. It may not feel like it is doing anything to clean your skin, but it is. Dermatologists tell us that gentle cleansers are the best cleansers because they are formulated closer to our own skin's PH balance.I have oily, acne prone skin and this cleanser seemed to emulsify the sebum that clogged my pores. My acne decreased because this cleanser gently exfoliated my skin, keeping the old, dead top layerfrom clogging the opening of the pore. In fact, after a few days of using this, you will notice a kind of "skin dandruff" which is just the old top layer being gently peeled off by the glycolic acid. Rosace and Adult Acne treatment
I've used a lot of products, many of which were prescription from the dermatologist, and the only thing that every helped was prescription antibiotics. There is evidence that even taking low doses continually is bad for you (I don't remember the exact issue). Now I use this each a.m. and each p.m. and the rosacea has improved dramatically and my pores are clear. I don't have any peeling or irritation from it.I had researched rosacea via Google Scholar and had found that glycolic acid peels were being used successfully for rosacea. I did not want to spend the money to do that, so decided to try a reasonably priced over-the-counter glycolic acid product. The first few days it stung a little before I rinsed it off but that has stopped. I massage it on dry skin then do a few things around the house for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it off. You should not use it on wet skin or mix it with water as that changes the pH. Only use water when you are ready to rinse it off...

Aqua Glycolic - LOVE this product line!
When I was receiving a facial several years ago, the esthetician suggested I try this line of products. (And she wasn't trying to sell it to me because they didn't stock this). I tended to have issues with Adult Acne - annoying large cysts along my jawline and they seemed to last forever. Within a short time of using this line of products, they stopped appearing and I just won't go back to using anything else. I have been using Aqua Glycolic for at least 3 years now and my skin looks and feels so much better! And the nice side effect is that I don't tend to use as much concealer or base makeup because I don't need to cover much up. For anyone with Adult Acne issues, I recommend trying these products. great glycolic cleanser!
I bought this because it was cheaper than the MD Forte cleanser my derm prescribed as part of my retin-a regimen. It works just as well as the more expensive brand. I use in the morning to get rid of any flaking caused by the retin-a application the night before.

LOVE THIS STUFF
I FIRST HAD GOTTEN A SAMPLE OF THIS CLEANSER WHEN I'D ORDERED AN ACID PEAL SOLUTION. I LOVE IT THEN SO I PURCHASED THE LARGER BOTTLE. IT KINDA STINGS A LITTLE WHEN YOU USE IT, BUT I LIKE THAT. I KNOW ITS WORKING. IT DOESN'T SUDS UP SO I MIX A LITTLE FOAMING FACIAL CLEANSER WITH IT. MY SKIN LOOKS BETTER, MORE EVEN AND PORES ARE SMALLER. I AM NOT SURE IF MY FINE LINES ARE GETTING ANY BETTER YET, BUT ITS ONLY BEEN A WEEK OR TWO.A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY AND THE BOTTLE SHOULD LAST A WHILE. ( I SAY "SHOULD" BECAUSE UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES IT "SHOULD" LAST, HOWEVER I HAVE AN 18 MONTH OLD IN MY HOUSE AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCE. Best Cleanser I've ever used!
I've used this cleanser for about 4 years. If you've never used glycolic acid products before, I would highly recommend starting with the I or II. This is a cream cleanser that does not foam. I apply it to dry skin, then add a little water, use circular motion, then wash off completely. You can also leave it for 10 minutes on dry skin and it doubles as a mini glycolic facial. It does not instruct you to do this on the bottle, but I've found this to be the best method, in addition to not diluting the glycolic acid with water right off the bat! I have used most of the MD Forte III products and have had great results. I used to get huge cycstic acne along my jawline and since I've used these products, I have not had this problem in years. It also helps with fine lines and brightening the skin. FYI, I'm 38, with fair/normal skin.

Cornerstone of my routine
I love this face wash. I have dry skin, esp. in winter. This product doesn't dry my skin out but cleans sufficiently. I occasionally combine it with a scrub for deeper, exfoliating cleaning. I have tried others but always come back to M.D. Forte. While I'm still experimenting with other products, eye creams, etc. this is the cornerstone of my routine. The bottle lasts an acceptable amount of time, so the price seems quite reasonable. If your looking for a quality, compared to a big box low cost low quality product, give this wash a try.

Best cleanser on the market
Tried this product years ago under care of a dermatologist to clean and brighten my complexion. Now, I've returned to M.D. Forte for the same thing as I get older. Still a great product and the same formula. Hands down, one of the best cleansers on the market. Now you can purchase it without a prescription. I usually use the M.D. Forte moisterizer and face mask too. You only need to use a little bit too. It goes a long way.Don't believe me? Try this: after you've cleansed with your usual product, steam your face for ten minutes--easily done by draping a white towel over your head and bending over a pot of hot water on the stove. Set the timer. After you're done, gentle rub your face to remove residue. Look at the towel. Absolutely the best facial wash I've ever used
This was the one product that helped me elimate my acne after suffering with it almost 20 years. It's also very inexpensive, feels nice, smells neutral, and is one of the 3 products I've found that contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). The nearest thing I've found to it was a dermatologist-supplied product that costs $29.95 for 8 fl oz. This is less than a third of the price and I like it better.Neutrogena also makes a product that contains alpha hydroxy acids, but it contains other acids as well that don't improve perfomance and burn your eyes if any seeps in. The alpha hydrox product does not sting your eyes.The alpha hydrox line is difficult to find in stores, so I always order my supply online. If the company ever went out of business I'd have to attempt to buy a lifetime supply. I've got a stockpile of about 10 bottles of the wash stored in the basement!

OMG! Finally my face is clear....
I have tried everything...Obagi, Dermalogica, ProActive, Clear Skin..etc. Finally I found Alpha Hydrox. I am African American, 28 years old and I live in Houston (so humid). I have very, very, very oily skin and adult acne. My face was gorgeous in highschool, but as soon as I went to college disaster struck. I went to dermatologist, I took prescription medicine, but nothing ever worked more than two months. I have been using Alpha Hydrox products since last year and my face is beautiful. I had dark spots and they are slowly clearing up, but the oil production has SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. Im so suprised I must admit, I never thought I would be able to go a half day without being oily, much less a whole day. I do get about 1 to two pimples (very small) every now and then, but nothing compared to how a use to break out (more than 10 pimples). I use the complete line of alpha hydrox products. I will never use anything else. Thank you so much I feel like I have my life back!

I have been using this product for at least 5 years. I have tried other "generic" brands only to be disappointed. This product keeps my sensitive skin blemish free and healthy looking. I don't even use the other items in the product line. I follow up with some real lemon juice and a moisturizer and I still get great results. Very, very pleased.

This is the best face wash I've ever tried. I've had acne on and off for about 10 yrs.NO ALCOHOLS, ONLY DECYL GLUCOSIDE as detergent(foaming agent), NO SLS or Cocamidopropyl betaine...so no drying, irritating effect.I don't know how effective the Vitamin A is in a wash, but Glycolic Acid works the best as a cleanser for my skin.Note: Glycerin is a drying agent on the skin contrary to popular belief! It attracts moistore from your pores to the surface of your skin. It especially acts very drying when used in a wash or shave cream because the moisture is drawn to the surface only to washed away. Unfortunately it is in about every skincare product. That is the only ingredient I don't like in this wash. I'd rather see lanolin instead. Lanolin (antifungal and antibacterial) acts as a skin protectant and locks in moisture while letting your skin breath naturally.

Perfect for Combination or Acne Prone Skin
This cleanser is very fresh smelling, and has a nice light texture. There's no greasy "film" left after washing with this cleanser, but it also doesn't dry the skin out. In fact, it seems to have helped with my combination/T-zone skin. The dry patches on my cheeks are gone and my oil is better controlled.My skin is also brighter, as the glycolic acid does help to naturally exfoliate those dead and dull skin cells that tend to build up on the face. It's suprisingly gentle as well. At night when I wash, I allow this to sit on my face for about 60 seconds to allow the glycolic acid to do it's magic. It has a slight tingle to it, but nothing serious.This is my go to cleanser. I would recommend it for anyone who has troubles with combination to oily skin.

Smells like Violets! So wonderful!
I stumbled across this product at Whole Foods. I have been detoxying thru juicing and eating Vegan for over a week now. My skin used to be like porcelin! Since I have been detoxying, my skin was sallow and just no radiance at all! I LOVE to get in the shower now and massage my face with this VIOLET smelling product for like 5 minutes everyday! Mmmm...so smooth!
I love this wash! My skin has been so smooth since I started using it. So much so that when my parents came to visit, they noticed the difference in my skin and asked me to get it for them too! It was recommended to me by an esthetician who said that I had large pores and needed something like this to keep the skin turning over? I don't know what that means but my skin looks great!
