Aqua Glycolic's Facial Wash is a product everyone over 30 can definitely benefit from. If you have not used glycolic acid washes before, you might not appreciate the "creamy" cleansing you get rather than the "soapy lather" that most people like and expect from a cleanser. It may not feel like it is doing anything to clean your skin, but it is. Dermatologists tell us that gentle cleansers are the best cleansers because they are formulated closer to our own skin's PH balance.I have oily, acne prone skin and this cleanser seemed to emulsify the sebum that clogged my pores. My acne decreased because this cleanser gently exfoliated my skin, keeping the old, dead top layerfrom clogging the opening of the pore. In fact, after a few days of using this, you will notice a kind of "skin dandruff" which is just the old top layer being gently peeled off by the glycolic acid. Rosace and Adult Acne treatment
I've used a lot of products, many of which were prescription from the dermatologist, and the only thing that every helped was prescription antibiotics. There is evidence that even taking low doses continually is bad for you (I don't remember the exact issue). Now I use this each a.m. and each p.m. and the rosacea has improved dramatically and my pores are clear. I don't have any peeling or irritation from it.I had researched rosacea via Google Scholar and had found that glycolic acid peels were being used successfully for rosacea. I did not want to spend the money to do that, so decided to try a reasonably priced over-the-counter glycolic acid product. The first few days it stung a little before I rinsed it off but that has stopped. I massage it on dry skin then do a few things around the house for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it off. You should not use it on wet skin or mix it with water as that changes the pH. Only use water when you are ready to rinse it off...

Aqua Glycolic - LOVE this product line!
When I was receiving a facial several years ago, the esthetician suggested I try this line of products. (And she wasn't trying to sell it to me because they didn't stock this). I tended to have issues with Adult Acne - annoying large cysts along my jawline and they seemed to last forever. Within a short time of using this line of products, they stopped appearing and I just won't go back to using anything else. I have been using Aqua Glycolic for at least 3 years now and my skin looks and feels so much better! And the nice side effect is that I don't tend to use as much concealer or base makeup because I don't need to cover much up. For anyone with Adult Acne issues, I recommend trying these products. This is the best face wash I've ever tried. I've had acne on and off for about 10 yrs.NO ALCOHOLS, ONLY DECYL GLUCOSIDE as detergent(foaming agent), NO SLS or Cocamidopropyl betaine...so no drying, irritating effect.I don't know how effective the Vitamin A is in a wash, but Glycolic Acid works the best as a cleanser for my skin.Note: Glycerin is a drying agent on the skin contrary to popular belief! It attracts moistore from your pores to the surface of your skin. It especially acts very drying when used in a wash or shave cream because the moisture is drawn to the surface only to washed away. Unfortunately it is in about every skincare product. That is the only ingredient I don't like in this wash. I'd rather see lanolin instead. Lanolin (antifungal and antibacterial) acts as a skin protectant and locks in moisture while letting your skin breath naturally.

Perfect for Combination or Acne Prone Skin
This cleanser is very fresh smelling, and has a nice light texture. There's no greasy "film" left after washing with this cleanser, but it also doesn't dry the skin out. In fact, it seems to have helped with my combination/T-zone skin. The dry patches on my cheeks are gone and my oil is better controlled.My skin is also brighter, as the glycolic acid does help to naturally exfoliate those dead and dull skin cells that tend to build up on the face. It's suprisingly gentle as well. At night when I wash, I allow this to sit on my face for about 60 seconds to allow the glycolic acid to do it's magic. It has a slight tingle to it, but nothing serious.This is my go to cleanser. I would recommend it for anyone who has troubles with combination to oily skin.

Smells like Violets! So wonderful!
I stumbled across this product at Whole Foods. I have been detoxying thru juicing and eating Vegan for over a week now. My skin used to be like porcelin! Since I have been detoxying, my skin was sallow and just no radiance at all! I LOVE to get in the shower now and massage my face with this VIOLET smelling product for like 5 minutes everyday! Give this a week and see great results
Derma E's Glycolic Facial Cleanser is one of the most soothing cleansers on the market. You would think Glycolic acid cleansers would be tingly, but this one is creamy, smooth and soothing. I love using this for morning and evening cleansing because it contains Marine Plant Extracts.After the first week I noticed my skin was healing faster and I noticed I didn't need to use my exfoliating products as much as I had been in the past. I like it but.......
I wish it foamed!! It doesn't foam at all; it almost absorbs into your skin like a lotion. I have been using it over a month and haven't noticed any breathtaking results but it does clean my skin very well and is non-irritating. It doesn't do a thing for acne or breakouts though.

I bought this because it was cheaper than the MD Forte cleanser my derm prescribed as part of my retin-a regimen. It works just as well as the more expensive brand. I use in the morning to get rid of any flaking caused by the retin-a application the night before.

The best face wash!
I'm 27 and I've tried most of the stuff out there that you can name to wash my face, but this stuff is something else. Ever since I've started using this wash, I have not had a single acne breakout in the past 4 months. Like the other reviews say, yes this product does not lather up but who cares with results like these. Maybe its my skin type or something, but I will continue to use this product for many years. Great facial cleanser - mildly drying
Anthony Glycolic face was is great for smoothing skins, getting rid of blackheads and acne and has a very pleasant light citrus scent. The product will mildly dry out your skin and you will need to use a serum and/or moisturizer. I normally do not like Anthony because they usually contain a lot of chemicals and I normally gravitate towards Jack Black, however, this product is free of most harmful chemicals and additives and simply works.

Great Cleanser when used with Eye Makeup Remover & Jan Marini BioClear Cream
This is NOT for use to remove eye makeup, as it has a Bioglycolic exfoliant (like alpha-hydroxy, it's acidic), so I've been using a vegan tea-tree oil eye makeup remover and then cleanse my face and neck with Jan Marini's Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser. It is moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. I've been using it with the BioClear cream, I bought them from this seller together and I think they work really well together. I've noticed a huge difference in the brightness, smoothness and youthfulness of my skin and I've been using these products for about 3 weeks consistently now. It makes me love to wash my face! TIP FROM MY ESTHETICIAN: Use a washcloth when washing your face to make sure all the residue is off - if you just splash water to rinse your face, you'll leave residue on your skin, which makes it harder for the skin to absorb your moisturizer. THE BEST PRODUCT FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN!
I have tried every product on the market, from Pro-Active to M.A.C. to Yonka, etc, etc. I had a facial with the Jan Marini facial cleanser about 6 months ago and couldn't believe how great my skin looked and felt in just one use. Of course I bought a bottle of the cleanser and after six months of use, my skin looks better than it has in my entire life. I never get acne anymore, my old acne scars are almost gone, my skin tone is bright and even and my pores look so small now. This product has been nothing short of a miracle for my skin. The ingredients are very harsh
I have used this cleanser on and off because I am not sure about how I feel about it yet.In terms of what I do like, my skin is not dried out and seems more radiant and clear. But most acids will do that. My skin seems to prefer it, if I use this cleanser 2x a week or when I look tired and dull. In other words, it makes a great exfoliator.I cannot say it has cleared up my skin as it does cause some minor irritation and I have broken out since using the product. I generally tolerate acids very well. Most AHA/BHA products do the same thing and it is just a matter of finding one you like.The biggest issues I have with Jan Marini in particular are the harsh sulphates and parabens. Aside from the acid, the rest of the ingredients are known for being harsh and undesirable. Your skin absorbs everything you put on it. And ingredients that can interfere with my hormones, make me very reluctant to use them.I have this big bottle I want to finish,...
