awesome product
So I've been using this a little less than two weeks, and I must say, it's worked better than many of the more expensive counterparts I've tried in a shorter amount of time. This lotion basically works as a moisturizer with the exfoliant AHA [alpha hydroxy acids], and I never really gave the idea of putting aha's on my skin because I thought my sensitive skin would go nuts but hey! my skin feels smoother than a baby's butt. [...]So I went and got it and I tried some on my face right away. It STUNG! And I was like, "hmm... let's give it a few more days."Granted you do experience stinging at first, but I stopped feeling it in a week [I only use it once a day since I have the spf version]So it's day 12, and my skin feels so good and smooth and clean looking that I feel compelled to write this review!

Fantastic moisturizer
I was so relieved to find this product on Amazon after not being able to find it in any of the stores in the UK when I moved from America. I've been using it for the last 2 years and have never found another moisturizer that gives my skin such a healthy glow and prevents breakouts and fades my freckles as well as this one. Only problem is that in winter I sometimes have to use a richer moisturizer once a day instead because the alpha-hydroxy can be a little bit drying. Overall great product though.

Not for face but great for sun damaged skin
I purchased this for my face but never used it because it's a bit strong and burns slightly when you put it on your face. So it sat in my closet for a year or so and then I decided I either needed to use it or throw it away. I started putting it on my arms after taking a shower and I was amazed that within a few days the skin on my arms started looking better. I have some sun damage due to spending too much time in the sun and I've tried other creams that were suppose to be for sun damage but this one is the only one that really works. So while I can't necessarily recommend it for face use (it just seems too strong), I can HIGHLY recommend it for sun damage on the rest of your skin.

perfect for summer
This product is different than anything I have tried before. It is very thin, almost the consistency of milk. It feels like nothing is on. I'm a make-up minimalist: I use a moisturizer, and sometimes a mineral powder. There is no "product sweating". What I mean is, sometimes a moisturizer/sunscreen makes white 'puddles' when out in hot sun. This product has none of that. It feels really nice on my skin. And the high SPF is awesome. I definitely recommend this product.

Light product won me over
Neutrogena Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizer SPF 50 With Helioplex is my new favorite SPF product for the face. I've destroyed my skin by exposure to the sun, so I do not go out without sunscreen, and this one is an absolute winner for my delicate and sensitive skin. Working in a garden, I often have felt my eyes burn and water with SPF moisturizers flowing as I perspired, but this stuff is great! I have been using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream with another SPF product on top, either a J&J product, Kinerase, or Kiehl's, but this is better for me than any of those, even the more expensive products. In a small bottle, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and the mixing balls let you know the product is moving around when it's shaken prior to use. The small tip allows for minimal liquid to be dispensed onto the fingers (directions say into the palm, but I use the fingers), so it's not wasted. I am not sensitive to the indiscernible scent and I've not shown any redness or sensitivity...

Don't know about the science, but...
I don't know about the science behind "helioplex" (my mozilla firefox browser puts a red line under the word, that should be your first clue it's a bit dodgy) but this thin lotion is a nice product that feels like it's working. I think it makes my skin look better (and isn't that what these products are all about?) The SPF 50 is great and the price is right. Neutrogena is always great for hypoalergenic products. This one smells a little like my mother's "skin so soft" but the scent doesn't linger.One of the better high-end lotions (hey, it's high end for me! I don't do the $50+ a gram lotions) I have tried.

The Best
I have been using this product for many years. I am in my late fifties and no wrinkles yet. Yes, many factors contribute to healthy skin such as using sun block, a healthy diet and exercise. But this cream definitely helped to lighten age spots. You can spend a lot more on other miracle cream. But this is a great product for a reasonable price. I use Pond's dry skin cream on top of this product in the winter. It is not necessary to spend a fortune for beautiful skin. This cream has worked well for me over the years.

Awesome!!!
This stuff is awesome. I'm 26 and I look much younger. I've been using this product for several months. It is the only moisturizing agent that I can use on my nose without causing pimples! yay! It's also amazing what it does for skin tone, texture, firmness and wrinkles. I hardly wear makeup anymore on a day to day basis. I am so, so pleased with this product.My only minor complaint is that it's a little thick and I found it hard to use only a "pea sized amount" to cover my whole face and neck. I have found that mixing it with a tiny bit of my Dead Sea Minerals Vitamin C serum/gel allows me to spread the "pea sized amount" all over with no problem.If you start using this product, make sure you use sunscreen all the time during the day. The Retinol makes your skin really sensitive and you can get some nasty burns with very little exposure. Also, be prepared for a few days of red, irritated skin when you first use it. Stuff works
I'm 48 yrs old and my face has unfortunately been showing signs of age - dark spots and wrinkles - over the past several years. Acne also have returned after not having had them since I was a teenager. Anyway, I decided to give this product a try as the reviews were so good, but I had reservations because I've been disappointed with things that have had good reviews in the past (one of them being the Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Tone Correcting Moisture lotion - greasy yucky feeling).This product was not one of those. This stuff works. I don't know if it's because my face was in such horrible condition that just two nights of use and I could tell the difference in the size of my pores, my skin tone was more even, and my face was smoother and not so bumpy looking. My acne have also cleared up. I definitely would continue to use this product as long as it's available and continue to do as well as it has.

Inexpensive, works as well as products that cost 10x as much!
I've always been a Neutrogena user, first their bar soaps back when I was a teen, then on to their line of moisturizers as I've gotten older. When this Anti-Wrinkle cream came out, I switched to it from the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion. The price was higher, but still much lower than any other trusted brand with Retinol.Awhile back, I had a chance to test Olay's Professional Pro-X Intensive Wrinkle Protocol Kit. Since I still had a full tube of my Neutrogena, I thought it would be fun to do a test. I used the Neutrogena once a day in the morning on the left side of my face, and the Olay kit (two items in the morning, one at night) on the right side of my face. Before testing, I took photos, then after a month, I took more photos. No difference in skin tone, condition or wrinkle appearance between the left and right sides of my face after a month!This was proof enough for me that Neutrogena has the same results as the Olay system for much less money...

Made a difference in my hands, too.
I've been using this on my face daily for about 2 years and it's left my face smoother and clearer, but the biggest difference is my hands. I was beginning to look at my hands and see my mother's wrinkled, age-spotted hands - yikes! I started using a pearl-sized dab on the tops of my hands daily as well and see a huge difference. While there's considerably less retinol than in a prescription retinol cream, it's also about a tenth of the price of what my dermatologist prescribed (which I never filled after pricing it).

RoC doesn't Rock like Neutrogena does!
First of all, I'm 49, so I'm not a 25 year-old who has no real wrinkles or skin issues such as unevenness and sun damage. I've got it all, plus super sensitive skin. I've been using this product during the day and even sometimes at night for a few weeks now with no irritation and great results. Some of my friends had mentioned another product that might be even better, so I briefly switched to RoC's Deep Wrinkle line. OMG. I only lasted two days using it because of the perfumes and the general heaviness/oiliness I experienced, not to mention it made my eyes water (and I didn't even put any around my eyes). I took those products back, needless to say. The grass is always greener--not.Neutrogena Healthy Skin is a great line in general. I now use the eye cream and the night creme as well as the day creme. I usually buy skincare from Sephora, but wanted to cut expenses. Some of my friends told me how great Neutrogena spf lotions are so I gave a try. This kit was a great buy! Not only the price is good but also all 3 products are doing awesome job.Cleanser: a pea size gives nice foam and removes all face make up and most of eye make up, doesn't make skin dry and tight. The container is 6 oz and will last a while. The scent is not the greatest but nothing offensive.Eye cream: leaves skin around eyes moisturized, lightweight, but because of AHA I use it in the evening.Face SPF contains retinol so exfoliates dead cells, makes skin soft and glowy, also lightweight, there is no residue, skin looks healthy and perfect for regular foundations as well as mineral make up. Amazing Price! Amazing products!
When I was in my late teens my dermatologist recommended Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPF 15, just for moisturizing my face. I loved it and used it for 4 years, and then of course I thought I found a "better" NEWER product so I changed and from then on I kept changing and changing and now 8 years later I have found myself back at the same products that were recommended for me in my late teens. Astonishing!!
I have never reviewed a skin care product in my life, but this product is so amazing I want to shout it from the rooftops! I am 31 years old. I still occasionally get breakouts and recently I have started seeing some fine lines around my eyes. I've tried more products than I can list and either they did absolutely nothing or made my skin even worse by causing more breakouts, making my skin really oily, or drying it out. So really when I bought this product I didn't expect much. However, to my total amazement, after ONE use I could see the lines fading and after three uses some of the lines have DISAPPEARED. I look FIVE YEARS YOUNGER after just a few days of use!! I am using this product along with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream and I will NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE.
