great product
My skin is very sensitive but also prone to break outs in the t-line. I tried lots of different brands and even the same brand's different products (loreal, nivea, olay, neutragena, anew, almay, ponds etc). I didn't try more expensive products (such as shiseido, lancome, guerlain, dior etc) because I don't like spending that much on moisturizers. What I look in a moisturizer is1. it should be dermatalogically tested2. and hypo-allergenic,3. it won't clog pores and4.to do its job without break-outs.Within this criteria and within my price range, this product is a good one. I gave this product 5 stars because I'm buying this for the third time and don't have any complaints.

Works well
I use this product because I wash my face twice a day with Neutragena Men's "Skin clearing face wash". And while that wash does a good job of not overdrying, it still does tend to make my face flake from time to time. So I decided to stick with Neutrogena and get their oil free moisture to use in conjuntion with the wash. Well it does what it claims; leaves skin moistened and is oil free and doesn't give a shiney look to your face. One squirt is enough for your whole face but you will want to make sure your hands are a little damp so you can spread it better.

Best face lotion for the sensitive face
I started using this product along with Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser and Neutrogena On-The-Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Cream. I can say this regime saved me, thank you Neutrogena! I used to use the Sensitive Acne-Free system but after awhile it just stopped doing it for me. I researched A LOT of products, looking to make sure harmful chemicals and all that were not present and I basically found all three of these products to be some of the best on the market, that are on the cheaper side. This is the last thing I use in my regime and I really love the easy pump bottle. Sometimes it dispenses a little too much for my liking but you can always do a half-pump or whatever your face needs are. It goes on nice and smooth and doesn't leave a dry or stiff feeling after it soaks in. I also like how you turn it to be able to dispense it, then turn it back to close it up; makes it very portable. I actually didn't buy this product off of Amazon, I get it at Walmart and it's about $9...

awesome product
So I've been using this a little less than two weeks, and I must say, it's worked better than many of the more expensive counterparts I've tried in a shorter amount of time. This lotion basically works as a moisturizer with the exfoliant AHA [alpha hydroxy acids], and I never really gave the idea of putting aha's on my skin because I thought my sensitive skin would go nuts but hey! my skin feels smoother than a baby's butt. [...]So I went and got it and I tried some on my face right away. It STUNG! And I was like, "hmm... let's give it a few more days."Granted you do experience stinging at first, but I stopped feeling it in a week [I only use it once a day since I have the spf version]So it's day 12, and my skin feels so good and smooth and clean looking that I feel compelled to write this review!

Fantastic moisturizer
I was so relieved to find this product on Amazon after not being able to find it in any of the stores in the UK when I moved from America. I've been using it for the last 2 years and have never found another moisturizer that gives my skin such a healthy glow and prevents breakouts and fades my freckles as well as this one. Only problem is that in winter I sometimes have to use a richer moisturizer once a day instead because the alpha-hydroxy can be a little bit drying. Overall great product though.

Not for face but great for sun damaged skin
I purchased this for my face but never used it because it's a bit strong and burns slightly when you put it on your face. So it sat in my closet for a year or so and then I decided I either needed to use it or throw it away. I started putting it on my arms after taking a shower and I was amazed that within a few days the skin on my arms started looking better. I have some sun damage due to spending too much time in the sun and I've tried other creams that were suppose to be for sun damage but this one is the only one that really works. So while I can't necessarily recommend it for face use (it just seems too strong), I can HIGHLY recommend it for sun damage on the rest of your skin.

Less greasy than similar Cetaphil and Clinique products
How it feels: If I apply this moisturizer in the morning, my face gets shiny toward the end of the day. But most other moisturizers I've tried make my face shine right away. This product feels lighter, less oily, and less shiny than the following 3 brands:- Cetaphil Fragrance Free Daily Facial Moisturizer, SPF 15- Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry, Sensitve Skin- Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing GelHow well it does its job: it's effective on skin constantly made dry and sensitive by Benzoyl peroxide and Retin A products. If I overdo it, dry itchy skin usually gets back to normal after one application, and redness disappears after one-two hours. Great product
I used this product for years before switching to the Neutrogena Healthy Skin formulation, which contains glycolic acid. I loved this moisturizer. I did not find it too oily or greasy - one of the reasons that I switched to it was becuase I found it to be much lighter than the Clinique Daily Moisturizing Lotion that I had been using. I could even use this product during the summer, when it is very hot and humid where I live. Neutrogena makes great products. Highly recommended.

Great for sensitive skin
I bought this for my wife who has very sensitive skin. She was using cetaphil's moisturizer and sometimes that would even sting. She said she loves this and hasnt had any stinging or uncomfortable feeling leaving her skin feeling great. Good product.

Great product
This is probably the best moisturizer/sunscreen combination I've ever used, especially for the price. I had just run out of the moisturizer I usually use, and as the only store in the area that carries it anymore is on the other side of the city, I picked this up, just so I would have something until I could get more of the other. I won't be getting the other again; this is far better.I didn't have to use very much and it absorbed quickly. My skin is extremely sensitive (maybe 2% of the products I've used in the past haven't irritated my skin), but this didn't irritate it at all, and it didn't leave my face feeling oily. I only put on a little bit of powder most days, and usually by the end of the day, my face would look shiny and feel extremely oily. That wasn't the case with this. I have combination skin, so it can be a chore trying to keep the dryer parts moisturized and the oily parts from getting worse, but my skin looks and feels great at the end of the day when I...

Great for everyday!
I use this product every day before I put on my slightly creamy-powder foundation, and it is a fantastic base. I use one pump for my whole face, and I love that it has the built in sunscreen (it never occurred to me that I was getting a bit of a sunburn on my one cheek that is always in the sun when I drive! This is helping that). I had really dry skin before, where it was flaking a lot, especially in my T-Zone, but now it's evened out after about two weeks of use. It doesn't clog my pores at all which is great, and afterwards I just pat on my powder and it looks great! Definitely recommend! I'm now subscribing through Amazon!

Smooth, not greasy
I am surprised at the negative reviews for this product. I'm not arguing about that feedback, nor am I trying to dismiss these customer's issues. I'm just very surprised they had a reaction to this product. I've used it for many years and never had a bad reaction. My skin is very fair and somewhat sensitive, and this lotion feels just right to me. I hate moisturizers that feel greasy or slimy, but this is very light and soft. My face is too sensitive for tradional sunscreen, so I use this instead.

If you've tried to find a moisturizing cream designed with anti-aging qualities in mind, you may have found that green tea extract is in nearly every one of them. Feels really good on my skin
My 57-year-old skin is very sensitive and VERY dry. I've never liked to use creams on my face because they either sit there on the surface or feel greasy or are too smelly or get in my eyes or break my face out. This Neutrogena moisturizer does none of the above.When I first put it on my face, my skin literally felt grateful; I don't know how else to say it. Light and Lovely
I have dry and very sensitive skin, and not many skin creams work for me; Neutrogena's Continuous Hydration Ageless Essentials is a good match for my skin, but not for night use. I would need something much heavier to last the night. It is great for daytime, excellent under makeup, and seems to visibly smooth out my skin and leave it with a nice feel.The consistency is very light and almost has a "whipped" look to it, and the first time I slathered it on my face and neck it was absorbed in seconds. The second (or even third) coat seems to be necessary for me, in order to last through several hours of wear. It has a pleasant aroma, and I especially love it on my neck and upper chest area, which soaks it up like a sponge.Well worth having if you like to vary your face creams and try something new, but don't expect it to be a thick night cream. perfect for summer
This product is different than anything I have tried before. It is very thin, almost the consistency of milk. It feels like nothing is on. I'm a make-up minimalist: I use a moisturizer, and sometimes a mineral powder. There is no "product sweating". What I mean is, sometimes a moisturizer/sunscreen makes white 'puddles' when out in hot sun. This product has none of that. It feels really nice on my skin. And the high SPF is awesome. I definitely recommend this product.

Light product won me over
Neutrogena Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizer SPF 50 With Helioplex is my new favorite SPF product for the face. I've destroyed my skin by exposure to the sun, so I do not go out without sunscreen, and this one is an absolute winner for my delicate and sensitive skin. Working in a garden, I often have felt my eyes burn and water with SPF moisturizers flowing as I perspired, but this stuff is great! I have been using Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream with another SPF product on top, either a J&J product, Kinerase, or Kiehl's, but this is better for me than any of those, even the more expensive products. In a small bottle, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and the mixing balls let you know the product is moving around when it's shaken prior to use. The small tip allows for minimal liquid to be dispensed onto the fingers (directions say into the palm, but I use the fingers), so it's not wasted. I am not sensitive to the indiscernible scent and I've not shown any redness or sensitivity...

Don't know about the science, but...
I don't know about the science behind "helioplex" (my mozilla firefox browser puts a red line under the word, that should be your first clue it's a bit dodgy) but this thin lotion is a nice product that feels like it's working. I think it makes my skin look better (and isn't that what these products are all about?) The SPF 50 is great and the price is right. Neutrogena is always great for hypoalergenic products. This one smells a little like my mother's "skin so soft" but the scent doesn't linger.One of the better high-end lotions (hey, it's high end for me! I don't do the $50+ a gram lotions) I have tried.
