Cleans without drying
This is a great face wash. I have oily skin and this wash gets my skin clean without drying it out. My dermatologist told me to use Cetaphil and I used that for a year. That didn't dry my face out but problem was that it didn't really control my acne. I've also tried some of the acne washes available at the drug store (like the Neutrogena ones with salicylic acid) but those irritate my skin too much. This face wash is the perfect balance in between -- gets your face clean but doesn't dry it all up.

Try it - it gave me perfect skin!
I am 28 with oily skin and I am constantly working on it trying to get it perfectly clear. It has been my lifelong mission. Well, this was the last step in my quest for perfect skin!I use it with a clarisonic brush, a weekly mud masque and a bi-weekly DIY glycolic peel and my skin is finally perfect.I also use Elta MD Clear sunscreen, which helps a lot. I'm pretty much ecstatic to finally have perfect skin and I will not go without this wash as part of my regimine!

the perfect face wash for my moderately oily/acne-prone skin
I have been using Earth Science Clarifying Facial Wash for 2 yrs. now. A friend of mine was cleaning out her bathroom cabinet and gave it to me with a few other half-used items. She has pretty balanced skin and she's constantly trying new products out, however, I have oily/acne-prone skin so when I find something that even kinda works I use it forever or until they stop making it. I tried the bottle of earth science she gave me after my regular Aveeno face wash ran out and my skin seemed to clear up right around that time. So I used up what was left in the bottle and returned to my usual face wash. Pretty soon after my skin started breaking out like old times. After a couple weeks of this I decided that maybe the Earth Science was working and I should get some ASAP. When I finally found it at Whole Foods and started using it I saw an improvement in my skin in about 2 days. I haven't stopped using it since. Works great on my oily skin, acne, etc.
I love this product! I've been using it for over seven years now. I have oily skin and, back in my twenties, horrible adult acne. I cured my acne within a couple of months of starting this product. Even now, if I skip a day or use something else, I'll get a breakout. The 32 oz refill size is the best buy. I fill a little squeeze bottle halfway and top off the bottle with water (50:50 dilution). To use, I sprinkle a little on a warm, wet washcloth and scrub gently. (I've found that scrubbing too hard or using the product more than once a day makes my face raw, although I'll occasionally use it twice in one day if my face is especially oily, sweaty, or dirty.) I've also successfully used it to treat my blepharitis (oily eyelid condition) and prevent the styes arising from blepharitis by very carefully rubbing the suds on my eyelids and along the margin of my eyelashes with my fingertips. In my professional opinion...
I am a skin care professional who has worked with many high end products, and when it comes to treating acne this is hands down my favorite. I love that it is all natural, has a great lather for removing dirt and make-up, and washes away without leaving any residue behind, a little goes a long way which is very, very important in this business. I use it everyday myself and whenever I switch to try some other far more expensive product I always go back to using this. I will say, it is by no means for sensitive or dry skin, which is why they offer two other more hydrating cleansers. I highly recommend this cleanser!!!

I like this cleanserIt does burn your eyes, which is strange because it's natural, but I think it's the tea tree oil.The smell is rather strong- but I don't even notice it anymore.This cleanser cleanses very well (makeup came off beautifully, even eye makeup) and it doesn't leave my skin feeling too tight!Nor does it make my skin too red, which is the problem I have with most cleansers.My face has cleared up tremendously while using this cleanser and Alpha Hydrox AHA Lotion.TIP:Use a foam pump! This cleanser is made to be used in a foam pump, that's why it's so watery. I bought a foam pump that contains dial soap for $1.77 at my walmart, and emptied the soap out, rinsed the container, and added this face wash. This is better than all the expensive ones I have tried
I started using this product when I just did not want to spend another 45.00 for my usual Origins face cream. I was skeptical at first but when I found out that it not only has Vitamin C but White Tea too, I was willing to give it a shot. Both are wonderful topical antioxidants and even Origins could not offer both in one product.That was over a year ago and I have not gone back. In fact, I use the entire line of Avalon Vitamin C now. The cleansing milk, facial serum, balancing toner and this cream. My skin absolutely glows like never before, my dry-as-the-desert skin problem is resolved, I never have breakouts and I look forward to my regimen every night and morning.Oh! Excellent Cream, even if you have acne
I was looking for an organic face cream that also had spf 15. When I saw this, I bought it even though I figured it would make me break out, because most face lotions do. I decided to give it a chance anyway. The cream is a little heavier than most, and my skin is oily, so this was also a red flag for me. But I was wrong! The cream absorbs quickly and is moisturizing, yet does not make me break out. In fact, I believe that it has helped clear my skin. This is an excellent cream, and not something to pass up.This particular seller is Mother Nature, shipping is free after $25, so I enjoy buying from this seller. Other products that I use with this lotion is: Dessert Essence face wash, Nelson's acne gel and Home Health Acne lotion (it's more like a toner). You can get them all from Mother Nature.

Fantastic Face Cleaner!
I love the smell of this facial cleanser - a refreshing orange scent that wakes you up (and is nice even at night!). But I really started using it because it met my criteria for "healthy" beauty products. This product has no parabens and no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, and it is compliant with the EU Cosmetics Directive (much more stringent than our own FDA regulations for chemicals in beauty products. It is not, in face, a completely organic product, though at the top of the ingredient list are organic lavender, chamomile, and white tea. A small amount lathers well, and my face feels so clean after I use it. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that it does contain benzyl alcohol and some other "unnatural" compounds, but this will still remain in my rotation.

Great product!!
I have tryed many skincare products over the years, and have struggled with off and on acne. Its hard to find a good product that helps with adult acne and anti-aging as well. I have been using this cleanser for two weeks now and my acne is practically gone! I am very impressed! I was also happy that the company uses organic ingredients, which is very important to me. Awesome!
I am almost done with my first bottle of this, and WOW. It seems like my skin (acne prone, t-zone oily) went through a bit of a detox breakout at first but I kept using it. To be honest, I was wondering if the cleanser worked, and if I should quit using it, but I had heard turmeric did great things for your face and kept with it. WOW. My skin has never looked like this, ever. The entire texture is different and the "deepness" of the clarity of my skin is truly amazing. It's like it's shining from the inside out. A lot of the junk underneath the surface has cleared out (that must have been the breakout) and my face is so smooth and clear. The turmeric lotion and serum are great too. (I originally ordered the set.) They have all helped with a major face transformation! I would definitely recommend this.

Fantastic for oil prone skin.
I love this product. I have super oily skin and very large pores. I have used countless other products (proactiv, clean and clear, neutrogena, ect) and they have been helpful. But I have always wanted to find something equally helpful that was not as chemically harsh. This completely fits the bill. My skin feels totally clean but not dried out after I wash and it stays feeling that way for at least as long as the other chemical based products if not longer. AFB has definitely won me over and I have already purchased more of their products. One warning. As others have mentioned it DOES NOT lather. If that is of importance then they have another cleanser that does. I haven't used it so I can't comment on its effectiveness. But if lather isn't a must you will probably love this cleanser!

This is a lovely cleanser. Light and slightly runny, not highly foaming. I have normal to dry skin and Super Detox leaves my skin feeling fresh but not dry. I love the citrusy essential oils. The natural ingredients make it feel very high-end. Don't let the simple packaging fool you.

ok, but nothing special for the price
This is NOT a bad product, in fact it is quite nice. However my skin did not feel any different or cleaner than it does after I use my usual organic cleansers that costs half the price. I found it quite curious that the 4 5 Star reviews are written by people that only reviewed products by this company, seems a little fishy to me. Having said that, if money is no object, this is a nice cleanser, but there are others that do the job just as well and are also all natural that cost half the price.

Awesome product!!!
For a while I have been interested into switching to a more natural skincare routine.Since a lot of things we apply to our skin actually causes more harm then good.So I found 100%pure on amazon and decided to give it a try.For the record I have combination skin.I was surprised at how little you needed to create a really nice rich gentle lather that made my skin feel balanced. It did not feel tight or itchy nor did it give me red blotches or burn in any way as sum widely found cleansers I've tried.The color is a murky green and the scent has a bit of an earthy quality to it with a little lavender, nothing too overpowering.Though that might not be to everyone's liking.I am really enjoying this product and will certainty be repurchasing.
