Love it!!
I absolutely love this face wash! I had been using AcneFree Severe Acne Treatment System which WAS working really well (see my review). However, I do not feel the AcneFree system is designed for prolonged use; I used it on a daily basis for over a year. Recently though my break-outs were horrible and my skin was over-producing oil. I tried switching makeup and then face wash (I tried Purpose and Neutrogena Oil Free), but neither of these worked. So I then switched to pHisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash. It honestly has worked miracles for me. I use it in conjunction with Bare Minerals makeup and my face has never looked better. My face is NEVER oily now which is a complete turn-a-round. This product can be a little drying so you may need/want to use a moisturizer (I can't use moisturizers because they cause my skin to break out).If you struggle with oily, acne-prone skin you may want to give this product a try. It was definitely the right move for me!

If I could give 1 Six-Star rating per year, this product would get it
I have not been using this product twice-a-day like it recommends on the label, but once per day has been great to me. Previously, I used soap and I would get breakouts occasionally. Then I tried Neutrogena for Men ($7 for 4 oz!), which made me break out badly and I stopped using it after a week and went back to soap. Then I went on Amazon and read reviews about pHisoderm, which I either never saw or never paid attention to at stores. I decided to give it a try since 4 bottles cost almost as much as that one Neutrogena bottle and what a great purchase. It has not only prevented breakouts, but it is also clearing out the little white heads that were on my forehead (I have oily skin) and blemishes. It's not a harsh product either and feels rather mild. I can see why they have been around for 40 years.

I'm 62 years old and have used Phisoderm products since I was 18 yearsold. I got a severe sunburn on my face when I was 17. Everything I tried on my face irritated my skin. Finally I tried the old Phisohexproduct and it cleaned my skin without irritation. Later the company had to quit making phisohex and I started using the white Phisoderm. Ittoo worked for me. A few years ago they quit selling the white Phisoderm in my area. I tried several other products but each one burned or irritated my skin. I then tried the Phisoderm anti-blemish gel facial wash and it's as good as the previous phisoderm products.

great product for finicky oily skin and those with Rosacea
I was diagnosed with Rosacea a few years ago and needed something that was "very sensitive" to wash my face since that was the area most affected. I tried this product having picked it up at the CVS and it was fantastic and my skin has never looked better. I have oily skin on top of everything so its hard to find something that works well in general.Anyway, having tried it and loved it I then checked Amazon and the pricing they offer is MUCH better than the local stores and that is even with using a coupon.A great product at a great price!!

Glad this is still around - it's like nothing else!
I have sensitive skin in rather unmentionable places. I've used this product for over 30 years and swear by it. It cleans with no irritation and no harsh side effects from fragrances. I'd recommend it for anyone with who wants good cleaning without worrying about harming sensitive skin.This product used to be available in all drugstores until about 5-8 years ago. Excellent for sensitive skin
I buy this for my 12 year old daughter. She has sensitive skin and this is perfect for her. Keeps her skin clear and beautiful. Very gentle cleanser that is well worth the price. Finally a fashwash for me!
I have struggled with my skin for as long as I can remember. Not like I was plagued with big, huge, volcano-like craters on my face, but I would get nailed with a handful of ugly blemishes every month for as long as I can remember. I have tried Proactiv, been prescribed oral and topical medications, and done just about every other great, new clear-your-skin-instantly fad on the market, and still couldn't balance my skin and get it to that happy place.However, after doing a bit of research and reading the reviews on this here pHisoderm, I thought I'd give it a shot. And man, I am SO glad that I did. I have been using it now for about a month and a half and absolutely love it. My skin feels clean, fresh, and supple without being dried out. I have been using this product for over a month now, I like how my skin feels afterwards. That being said, I still have some acne but it seems to be more controllable. I think it is worth the shot. I combined the cream cleanser with this so that my skin doesnt dry out to much. It works!

In 10 years...nothing else comes close
Thank goodness I found this product. It's by far the best cleanser that I've ever used, and I've continued to use it for about 10 years. I have combination skin, and this product doesn't overdry my skin. I've used Olay foaming facial cleanser (too harsh and drying), Aveeno foaming face wash (too irritating), Cetaphil (didn't take make-up off well), Garnier cream face wash (made me break out), and a myriad of others. I keep coming back to this, and I'm thrilled with the price. I would pay more if I had to, but I don't! The only drawback I've found to using this is that I can't seem to find it in many stores, so I have to order online and keep it stockpiled in case I run out.

Clean and smooth
I bought this product at a local supermarket with a big purple $2-off coupon on the front. I was skeptical because of the price. I read the back of the bottle and it claimed to clean dirt, oil and makeup without drying. The front said it gives a "glowing, balanced complexion". It was exactly what I was looking for! =] I've been using it for two weeks and here's what I think so far:Pros - Leaves skin feeling really clean and smooth, has a great "lockable" pump dispenser, a little bit goes a long way, light scent, helped to heal up a cystic pimple, is actually fading dark spots and giving me an even compexion (In just two weeks!)Cons - Does tend to leave a slight film on skin post-wash, second ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate, might be a little too strong for every day use

It's okay. You may have better results.
This product is okay. I'm able to use it once a day otherwise it dries out my skin too much. I'm not seeing the results I was expecting after about a month as far as clearing (adult) acne.I purchased this product because of the awesome rating and reviews, but I can't say I've seen much of a difference (yet?). It's worth a try for the price though.

As good as Neutrogena body wash even better...
I've had body acne for years!!! I've tried all the body wash products MURAD, OXY, Neutrogena.. And i found that almost none of them were effective..... After years and years i finally found what the problem was... It was my laundry detergent! I went ahead and bought new laundry detergent it was called Tide Free and gentle for senstive skin.. And it cleared me up within weeks! After figuring out that it was my laundry detergent that was causing my body acne especially my back acne i tried to get rid of body wash to save money.. Acne came back!!! So i realize that I needed acne body wash... plus senstive skin laundry detergent and AHA lotion to keep my skin clear.Anyways i found that all of the bodywash work the same! I like Neurogena and Phisoderm the best... But since Phisoderm is cheaper and has the same ingredients as the Neutrogena body wash I prefer Phisoderm better... Added to that PHISODERM smells better and they've also added the extra Vitamin E, Aloe & Chamomil. So...

I adore this bodywash
I have been a loyal used of this body wash since I first tried it about 8-9 years ago as a teenager. I tried all of the anti-acne body washes and never made it through a whole bottle. They either smelled horrible or made my skin feel dry. This is perfect and I hope they never stop making it. It smells lovely (I get compliments all the time and I never wear perfume!) but the scent is light and not too feminine (my boyfriend also uses this). It leaves my skin feeling SO soft and clean! I rarely get breakouts on my body, though they come back if I run out and use something else. My only real complaint is that I have to buy it online because it is not available in stores near me. Also, a bottle lasts a long time (about 6-8 months when used daily) because a little goes a long way. I bought this three pack about two years ago and only now do I need to buy more. Love it!

I've been using the phisoderm body wash for the acne on my back for a year or two by the time i finished the first bottle it was completely clear but I can no longer find it in walmart stores...Thank goodness for amazon i got a three pack for $10 in stores the bottles are roughly $7 each so def a bargain.

Phisoderm Face Wash

If I haven’t washed my face yet and I have had a face full of makeup I typically do a pre-wash. I can’t use it too often because it dries my face out a lot, but it really makes a difference when I apply it after washing my face before bed when I have a breakout. With just a little bit of face wash I do a quick rinse so when I use the Clarisonic it really gets the chance to get everything out of my pores. It’s really cheap so that’s awesome, but the best thing is that it gently washes my face and keeps it (relatively) break out free. This face wash has really been the best that I have ever found but I can’t find it in any of the typical stores (Walgreens, Target, etc) so I buy this on drugstore. I put my face wash on this bad boy to get a super scrub.

In the warmer months I am definitely prone to clogged pores so as a preventative measure I always alternate between a normal/combination skin type facial cleanser and an acne treatment cleanser throughout the week. I did try using Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (I prefer to mix the product with cleansers instead of water though I do not know if Dermalogica recommends that type of use) with this cleanser and it was more than adequate together. I definitely would not use this type of cleanser with an electric facial brush, in my opinion that type combination might irritate skin that is already inflamed, irritated, or raw due to blemishes. Use of other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. (Formerly Phisoderm Clear Confidence Acne Skin Care) Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment. Wet face, then gently massage cleanser onto skin, rinse well and pat dry. I find this cleanser is very effective as a preventative measure for my personal skin type and I am satisfied with this purchase. At this point in time, I consider this product an effective cheaper alternative to the Peter Thomas Roth cleanser I just reviewed.
