Amazing product
I have very dry skin that breaks out due to the dryness. My doctor recommended I use this product and since I have started using it, I have not had one single breakout. And my skin feels refreshed, renewed, and all my dry patches are gone. I have tried everything, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, Dove, Oil of Olay, and the list goes on, but this is by far, hands down the best product for my skin and it does not break the bank. I wish I had known about this much sooner. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this product. It may not be for everyone, but even my husband who has oily skin loves it as well. I am hoping they can come out with a bodywash.

Purpose -- I use it every day!
I love this product. At one point I thought J&J was going to discontinue it and so I stocked up. I use it to wash my face and it leaves it clean yet moisturized. Many other cleansers either leave residue on your face or they completely dry out your skin. I've had great results using this cleanser every day.

Gentle, doesn't dry out your skin, washes off easily
This is a great cleansing wash that my wife's dermatologist recommended. It is ideal as a face wash because it doesn't dry out your skin after using it the way some astringent washes do, leaving your skin scaly or rough. It also washes off easily and doesn't leave a thin film behind like other washes. It is very good at cleaning but also quite gentle. Highly recommended if you have more sensitive skin and need a face wash that doesn't completely dry you out.

Gentle, doesn't dry out your skin, washes off easily
This is a great cleansing wash that my wife's dermatologist recommended. It is ideal as a face wash because it doesn't dry out your skin after using it the way some astringent washes do, leaving your skin scaly or rough. It also washes off easily and doesn't leave a thin film behind like other washes. It is very good at cleaning but also quite gentle. Highly recommended if you have more sensitive skin and need a face wash that doesn't completely dry you out.A note on the price:Amazon's pricing is really quite good and just about as cheap as a big-box store. Gluten Free, Gentle Liquid Soap
Before using Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash, my skin errupted in a terrible rash that persisted. Since I switched to Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash, my skin has become somewhat normal. The reason I tried it is that my doctor suggested it as a very gentle soap that is gluten free. I have gluten sensitivity that goes beyond edible products.I purchased the soap in local stores at first, but found that the 12 ounce pump bottles offered on Amazon are cheaper than the equivalent costs in local stores.

My favorite face wash
I've used this face wash for over 8 years. I love that it's soap-free so doesn't dry my skin. I have skin allergies and this is one of the few products I can use on my face. You get two large bottles and this was the best price I could find anywhere. Good product, good price.Note on 3/31/11: I am bummed to see that these size bottles are no longer available from Amazon with free shipping.

Cetaphil is best for me year after year
When I find a product to be excellent, I tend to remain loyal. I may try others, but I return to the one which continues to prove it's excellence year after year. Despite more costly products I've tried as samples, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been my cleanser of choice for many years. I've tried a generic brand from CVS and found it to be much more slimy and thick than the real thing and gave it away to a less scrutinizing customer.My skin and eyes are extremely sensitive and can become dry, so I am very cautious when trying new products. This one was recommended by a dermatologist and I'm very grateful for the suggestion because it meets my desires in a cleanser. It is extremely gentle, fragrance free and can be used directly on my eyes. I apply it onto my dry face, rub it all over, including the eyelids, then rinse it off and pat my face dry. Gentle Enough for the Most Sensitive Skin
I've used this skin cleanser for close to 20 years and love it!!! Very gentle, doesn't dry out skin and removes makeup wonderfully. Gentle enough to remove eye makeup too. Leaves skin moisturized and soft. Be sure not to confuse with Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser...totally different, but deceivingly similarly looking on the shelf.

Really Great Gentle Facial Cleanser
Cetaphil is an amazing product. Our family has been using it for the longest time. It is not sudsy like ordinary soap which makes it very easy to rinse. You will not spend a lot of time just to remove that slippery feeling when using soaps. After you dry with a face towel, you will feel the difference on your skin. Oil is gone without you face feeling stretch dry. It is very gentle it was recommended before by my wife's derma for one of my sons when he had a skin problem. It does work as a shaving lubricant too.

Best Gentle Cleansing Bar Out There!
I have rosacea - the soap that you use on your face is critical in helping control this disease that can never be cured. I had tried everything out there - Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar is the best...I wear face makeup, so it is critical that I use a soap that is gentle and yet can remove the 'paint' on my face. 20+ years of use- wouldn't use anything else on my face
Wen I was a teenager, my skin started going a little crazy (dry one day, sensitive the next, breakouts, oily phases) and after trying a bunch of stuff I finally went to a dermatologist. He told me one thing would set everything straight- Purpose Soap.And 20+ years, I'm STILL using it daily. I wouldn't use any other soap on my face. Of course, now I use different lotions and potions to prevent wrinkles and signs of aging, as well as sunblock, etc. But my skin stays really clean and clear. Great cleanser and makeup remover
This was a great find! I purchased it because it was cheap (about 7 bucks) and it was made by Aveeno. My skin suffers from multiple personalities... sometimes it think it's combination, other days, it thinks it's full blown oily and then, there are those days when it erupts with major eczematous patches with a sprinkling of pimples. As a result, my skin likes to react to the same product in different ways depending on its mood. But somehow, Aveeno products have provided some stability to my skin's psyche.Soooo... back to the review, I love this cleanser. It's very gentle (no abrasive beads, no harsh soaps to strip away moisture) but is still very effective in cleaning off all of my makeup, including my waterproof mascara! Typically, I use the Lancome Bifacil eye makeup remover but sometimes, that feels too harsh so instead, I gently massage this cleanser on my lids and on my eyelashes (without rubbing it into the eyes). Great product
I have been using these for years (since I read Bo Derek stating in a post "10" interview that she used them to keep her skin smooth :-)). As my skin has aged, I have switched from the regular to the gentle version.I have sensitive skin that doesn't like harsh chemicals. Using these allows me to slough off the older layers as well or better than expensive exfoliants. They helped control acne and now remove the old skin that keeps me from having the "healthy glow" that the commercials for costly creams promise. It has been difficult to find these locally as the shelf space gets taken by new, expensive options, so I am really glad to find them on Amazon.Inexpensive, re-usable, no chemical reactions or worries about getting something in your eye. Love the Buf!!!
I've been using these Buf-Puf facial sponges for years! They are high-quality and last over numerous uses. Simply rinse well and dry after each use to keep them fresh. I've tried store brand sponges to save money, but I always come back to the Buf! They are worth the money!!
