Excellent solution for acne
I have used a solution of these two products Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment, Vanishing Formula, .75-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 3) and Neutrogena Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment, Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz (270 ml) Bottles (Pack of 3) and this have been the only thing that I have needed for have my face clean of acne for the last year.I use the cream in the night before go to sleep and the soap gel for washing my face on the morning.When you start using it you can use it more often if you want but is going to dry your face, I see results after 20 days.A friend of mine also use it and she now have her face clean, it tooked more time to her but it cleared her face.Excellent product overall!!!Note: You have to use it EVERY DAY, the day that you don't use it, it is going to start appearing acne in your face, as long as you use it every day everything is fine.

WILL NOT TREAT EXISTING ACNE
This product will not treat existing acne! It is, however, part of a solution for treating/preventing acne. It's important to know what this product is for. I'm in my late 20's and never really did anything about my acne. I've always had mild acne on my back, chest, and face. A couple of months ago I decided to take it seriously. I bought Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub, a similar product, and used it religiously twice a day on my face, for two months, in addition to taking two showers a day instead of one. During this time, the acne on my face would go away, come back, appear in different spots, just as it always has. Towards the end of the two month period, the pimples on my forehead became huge all over my face much larger than normal - the type that you feel bulging out of your skin and are painful if they come into contact with anything. Love it!!
I absolutely love this face wash! I had been using AcneFree Severe Acne Treatment System which WAS working really well (see my review). However, I do not feel the AcneFree system is designed for prolonged use; I used it on a daily basis for over a year. Recently though my break-outs were horrible and my skin was over-producing oil. I tried switching makeup and then face wash (I tried Purpose and Neutrogena Oil Free), but neither of these worked. So I then switched to pHisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash. It honestly has worked miracles for me. I use it in conjunction with Bare Minerals makeup and my face has never looked better. My face is NEVER oily now which is a complete turn-a-round. This product can be a little drying so you may need/want to use a moisturizer (I can't use moisturizers because they cause my skin to break out).If you struggle with oily, acne-prone skin you may want to give this product a try. It was definitely the right move for me!

If I could give 1 Six-Star rating per year, this product would get it
I have not been using this product twice-a-day like it recommends on the label, but once per day has been great to me. Previously, I used soap and I would get breakouts occasionally. Then I tried Neutrogena for Men ($7 for 4 oz!), which made me break out badly and I stopped using it after a week and went back to soap. Then I went on Amazon and read reviews about pHisoderm, which I either never saw or never paid attention to at stores. I decided to give it a try since 4 bottles cost almost as much as that one Neutrogena bottle and what a great purchase. It has not only prevented breakouts, but it is also clearing out the little white heads that were on my forehead (I have oily skin) and blemishes. It's not a harsh product either and feels rather mild. I can see why they have been around for 40 years.

I'm 62 years old and have used Phisoderm products since I was 18 yearsold. I got a severe sunburn on my face when I was 17. Everything I tried on my face irritated my skin. Finally I tried the old Phisohexproduct and it cleaned my skin without irritation. Later the company had to quit making phisohex and I started using the white Phisoderm. Ittoo worked for me. A few years ago they quit selling the white Phisoderm in my area. I tried several other products but each one burned or irritated my skin. I then tried the Phisoderm anti-blemish gel facial wash and it's as good as the previous phisoderm products.

Effective face wash
My skin suffers from the occasional breakout--I mainly have small zits, but I usually have one or two large cystic pimples on my face. I decided I finally had enough and wanted to go for something more heavy duty, so I purchased DDF Theraputic Skincare, Salicylic Wash 2%.It doesn't have much of a smell and it tingles slightly while you wash your face. After drying my face I noticed that it felt alarmingly tight--this feeling has yet to go away after regular use. This product WILL dry your skin out. You need to use a moisturizer in conjunction with it. My skin started flaking, so I now use it every other day or when my skin feels truly oily.Still, flakes and tightness aside, I have found that this product has helped decrease the number of outbreaks I have had. I haven't had any since I started using it over a month ago. I think it's well worth the cost; just understand that it DOES have side effects.

DDF Salicylic Wash
This is a pretty good face wash. My skin hasn't totally cleared up (I think that's more hormonal, though) but it's totally worth it. My skin doesn't get oily throughtout the day anymore. I've actually never experienced this with other face washes. I would start out slow with this stuff. I first started washing my face with it 3 times a day, and it was fine until two days later, and my face started getting really dry. I definately want to try out more products in the DDF line. I thought paying over $30 for face wash was going to be a bad idea, but it was worth it.

This toner is amazing!
I have been using this item with the Alba ACNEdote toner, as well as the Alba papaya enzyme face mask. I use a generic Target face cleanser (UP&UP daily facial cleanser for normal to oily skin). I have been using all these products together for about two months.Before starting to use these products: I had acne (especially on the my cheeks, my chin, my nose, and occasionally on my forehead and hairline), acne scarring (especially cheeks and chin), and my face was a combination of dry in some spots and extremely oily in others.The toner is refreshing and WORKS. I love this product and want to spread the word! I have very sensitive skin, acne, and mild rosacea. My dermatologist recomended I begin using a face wash that contained 2% salicylic acid. Specifically she recomended OBAGI (which is around $60 and not cruelty free from what I could find online). I was very nervous about the word acid and worried that it would be to harsh. I did my research, found this product and decided to give it a try. I have been using it for two weeks now and it works great! It is gentle, has reduced the redness in my face, my current acne is going away and I have not had any new breakouts.I would recommend using just the wash to see how your skin reacts. I used the toner and found the combo to be a little to drying. Of course follow with a great moisturizer! Hope this helps!

Finally! Oil control and makeup friendly!
I have used this product for only 5 days and I totally see a difference in my skin. I usually wear makeup due to acne so I need oil control and coverage for my face. My skin is clearing up and no new zits since I've been using this. I only need a pea size amount in the morning and it goes a long way. I still see a glow in the afternoon, but only because I have super oily skin. A glow in the afternoon is much better than a messy makeup shine! I feel so much more confident and don't feel the need to rush home at 5 o'clock to wash off my slick and yucky face. It seems to set my makeup a lot better as well. Before my eyeliner seemed to smudge and my makeup would become splotchy after oil dabbing throughout the day. No more of that with this product. I will be stocking up on this product for sure.

LOVE this stuff!
This is so nice to use in the mornings and evenings when you need a quick face wash. Great for teens and it helps controls some break outs too I noticed in my daughter. It doesn't dry your skin out like most face washes and it's a good buy when you break it down. Lasted about 5 months for 2 people using it. The math wasn't that bad.

Smells nice, and effective, but be careful how you use it.
First of all, the pink grapefruit scent is awesome.And, used properly as an anti-acne cleanser, it works great. Used improperly, it can lead to dryness and increased breakouts.Acne is caused by the bacteria that builds up when trapped oil and skin cells accumulate under clogged pores. To treat acne, you must clear those pores and eliminate bacteria. Salicylic acid-containing products slough off cells from the top layer of the skin, helping you keep your pores clear. With all those dead cells cleared away, however, you're also thinning out your body's natural barrier against bacteria.The trick is, you need to wash away dirt and make use of the gentle exfoliation the salicylic acid allows, without taking so much off that you're weakening the skin's ability to protect. For my skin, one full pump is way too much, I use about a 1/3rd of a pump and dilute with some water before using.You only get so far with just a cleanser. To really treat...

Same ingredients as MURAD & just as effective....
This has the same cleaning power as regular Neutrogena but with a much better smell. I noticed with the orange version that my skin had a medical smell to it. This grapefruit scent is more than acceptable and leaves my skin feeling clean and tight. It does a good job of removing make-up. The 2% salicylic acid is the same strength and cleans as well as Murad, but for far less cost. The other Murad substitute that NEutrogena has is the Rapid Clear 3-in-1 Acne Treatment, which is equivalent to Murad's 2% salicylic acid gel (but again at a much lower cost.) These two products used at night, combined with an SPF 30 moisturizer in the day, make my skin very clear. You have to just continue it even as the gel "boils" the acne to the surface at first. Once the skin is clear, if you continue to use these, then your skin will stay clear. Much less expensive than MURAD!
