A must have for any beard loving human!
For years I went between having a beard, being clean shaven, beard, clean shaven...you get the picture. Never did I know that there were so many types, shapes and styles of beards. This book lays it all out on the bathroom vanity, so to speak. What to use, how to use it, how to cut, what could look good on you, some history of beard types. A great read for somebody looking to experiment with their image. My face has never been happier. Thank you! I can't wait to try them all!

Great book...and nice author too!
Had the occasion to meet Nick at a signing at Border's San Francisco Center. Nice guy! But about the book - it's a great read, tons of historical content, so it's not just about style, it's about the whole history of the bearded gent. We had to give it as a gift to a friend, but not until we went through it. Written in a casual informative style, you'll learn a lot as well as enjoy the different styles of goatees, soul patches and beards (who knew there were so many options!). Fun for the fans of the bearded gent and the bearded gent in your life.

Works well with a fairly dry face
I shave in the shower, and I learned quickly to make sure your face is pretty dry when putting this on, otherwise it spreads too thin. With a pretty dry face, it goes on thicker, like a paste, and keeps the hairs up if you brush your hands upward against the hair growth before shaving. I use it with some organic jojoba oil as an undercoating, so I'm not entirely sure how well it works by itself. A good alternative to shaving cream if your priority is to avoid harmful (and arguably carcinogenic) chemicals.

Great Product
Great lotion. It works as advertised - non-greasy, light and quick absorbing. Does a great job of moisturizing the skin - not as great as the thicker creams but its a trade-off for the completely non-greasy feel. Really like that it can be applied to the face, body and be used after shaving - sooths the skin nicely. Highly recommend.

Yes guys need to moisten up their skin just as woman do and we don't want to search high and long for what works and what doesn't work. It seems many companies out there finally understand that there is in fact a market for men, hence why these products are now readily available.That being said, I have dry skin pretty much everywhere and I'm picky about what I put on my body.Pro:Compared to other lotions that I've used (Lubriderm Daily Moisture, Vaseline Men's Body and Face, Vaseline Intensive Rescue Hypoallergenic, etc.) this one is pretty much up to par. With the Vaseline Men's lotion, it would dissolve a bit too rapidly into the skin and you would have to apply a bit more to cover your body, but Lubriderm's formula seems to have this issue covered.I don't prefer to use this lotion on my face but that's up to other consumers whether or not they want to.Con:When placed side by side with other lotion, particularly Vaseline...

Been Using These Sticks For Years
I don't know how anyone can use an electric razor without some sort of skin lubrication. These FaceSaver sticks are outstanding. I have been using them for many years and always order in bulk as they are sometimes hard to find. Keep extra diligent in your razor cleaning regimen as the powder can cake up on the blades reducing cutting effectiveness.

I would love to wax or do laser hair removal, but you have to let it grow out a bit-which is impossible for me. I won’t go to work feeling like I am a freak.
