a really wonderful cream
Honestly, I couldn't believe that no one else has reviewed this cream. I got it several weeks ago. Bought it to soothe my very dry skin. Have used it every morning and night since. It is great stuff! It is creamy and goes on so silky you won't believe it. I first thought it wouldn't sink into my skin over my other lotions. and creams I use, but it did, and made my skin so moisturized! I do exfoliate so maybe that helps it sink in, if you have dry skin, you would probably love it like I do. I have only used it on my face, but bet it would be great on any area like elbows, knees and hands!I will certainly buy it again when I get to the bottom of the jar. A little goes a very long way so it is economical too. can't beat that in this day and age.

This product is fantastic!!
I have tried every product you can imagine and before this one I had such bad reactions. My skin being fair and extremely sensitive had problems with every thing. I put it on before I go to bed and right before I apply my makeup. My skin absorbs it instantly and is silky smooth. Not to mention is smells fantastic. I would recommend it without thinking twice. The only problem I have is keeping it away from my teenage daughter!

The Best Moisturizer!!!
I Live in the high desert, very dry all year long and this moisturizer is unbelievably rich. I am in my late 50s and this is the best cream I have ever purchased. I have been using it for several months and have noticed a big differance in that the lines have softened on my face and new ones have not appeared because of this great moisurizer. I highly recommend!

Just Works
Okay, so as the other reviewers have mentioned, this product is made from Fair Trade ingredients. It's also made by hand in the USA, which is rare enough these days. Here's the main thing: It just works.I actually like the smell (a little herbally) (maybe it helps that it doesn't smell as perfume-like as some face creams can, because I am a man), and the way it goes on is smooth and light. You can hardly feel it after 5 seconds. But it makes your skin better. And that's enough for me.

amazing. period.
I have never needed much in terms of lotion until now. I am in cancer therapy and one of the side- effects is dehydration/dry skin. Despite the 3-4 liters of water I drink a day my skin is so different and so dry that I really had no idea where to turn. I've tried a ton of lotions starting with standard face creams but they are so thick and heavy it was like wearing makeup or honey on my face and it felt like I was clogging my pours. Because I've been trying to cut toxicity out of my diet and skin care, I cut out a lot of the common lotions I had used including oil of olay and nutregena. Did I mention I am also prone to blemishes in the past and now too, now that my skin is stressed in a different way. So, anyways, I have a high maintenance need. I tried Burt's Bees but that was also way to sticky and heavy and then I found Alaffia's Neem & Shea (angelic chorale here). Gotta love any fair trade item!
I always feel good when I know I purchasing a fair trade item, which is totally the case with this face cream. The cream goes on nice and leaves my skin feeling very smooth. I gotta admit it has a very distinct smell to it that took some getting used to. The smell is pretty strong, especially for something that is applied to your face. I did get used to the smell though and will continue to use it. I did read a multiple reviews on this product and there is a lot of discussion about the last third of the bottle getting wasted since the pump doesn't work. I just started to use the product so time will tell, but you would think the company should really look into fixing this situation.

Shea Butter
I decided to purchase this product when I was watching some type of fashion video on Youtube with Amber Rose *Kanye West's infamous girlfriend *now ex*- anyway she was asked what was some of her favorite make up and skin care products. I was dying to know this because I love this woman and I find her skin to be absolutely flawless... I was shocked when she said raw african shea butter. She explained that she usually melts it in the microwave to soften it and puts it all over her body as soon as she gets out of the shower... Her face and everywhere else.. So, I just had to try it. I've always heard of using shea butter how it is a good moisturizer..but wow.. I noticed a difference in my face within two days... My skinned looked brighter... More clear..My complexion looks healthier.. My laugh lines look as if they are slowly disappearing... I've been looking for a good moisturizer for the winter..I normally use neutrogena for sensitive skin but it doesn't help as nearly as good as shea...

The shea butter comes in a plastic container. It was not rock hard and I could easily scoop a bit into my finger and apply it to my face. I didn't have to microwave it. A little goes a long way... since too much shea butter can make one's face look greasy. Overall, I would definitely purchase this brand of shea butter again.

It's the best
Originally I bought raw shea butter from a street vendor, ladies, waste no more money on high end product, this is natural, very inexpensive and is EXCELLENT - I am naturally olive toned however years in the sun produced age spots and as I began to tone my weight my face was sagging, I didn't really notice at first the good it was doing, everyone else did, I have no laugh lines, no sun frowny marks, spots are lighter and less noticable and I use this on virtually everything. It takes very little to cover your face and hands. Add a few wee drops of lavendar and you have a wonderful soothing, calming relaxant... No Kidding..!!!

Geat Moisturizing...But No Healing
Shea butter is well known for it's moisturizing, and more notably, healing properties. Shea butter, in it's natural form, is off-white, pale yellow, or cream colored after processing. It has a unique nutty smell which is not offensive. The smell will degrade over time after application...unless too much has been applied. Golden Shea Butter has palm oil added to it. Also, the healing component(s) of shea butter is quite sensitive. It deteriorates over a short period time or if the final product is altered too much.I've used this product for a year. While a great natural moisturizer, I did not observe any signs of healing. I have a feeling that this shea butter is older or has been altered to the degree of degradation.Once again, *this* shea butter with palm oil seems to be a great natural moisturizer (better than any chemicals in a bottle you might find at a local store), but don't expect any healing of blemishes, scars, etc.

BEST BODY CREAM
I've used this product for over 14 years. I use it twice a day, everyday. My skin has been very dry since I'vehad an autoimmune disorder that cause my skin to be red and dry. One of the Dermatologists I saw at Johns Hopkins told me about it. Then I saw it on QVC when I happened to pass by the channel one day. That was my first purchse of this cream. Since then, I've purchased it from L'Occitane,Sephora,Amazon or on the Q. I love when I can get the large, double size,jars. But they're only availasble a few times a year. This cream is the deepest, most long lasting moisturizer for the body I've ever used. I'd tried many, many different creams prior to finding this one. The price is more than fair for the value recieved. A little goes a long way. My skin drinks it in and it leaves no sticky residue. I absolutely love this product!
If you have dry skin, this product is a miracle worker. I am not one of those people who goes out of her way to buy expensive brand cosmetics, but I am a BIG FAN a L'Occitane. Awesome!
I was introduced to this cream by a friend and found that it is just incredible while not being at all greasy. I always avoided shea butter products as they were greasy and took forever to absorb, but this body cream has none of those issues! I Love This Shea Butter!!
I mainly chose this brand of shea butter because the company makes sure that consumers will get the best quality of shea butter (100% Certified Premium Grade A). I read reviews of other brands of shea butter that had mold, bad smells, hard as a rock and they had to melt it on the stove, or had a odd color. Well, AAA Shea Butter is the leader of the rest.The Shea Butter does have a sweet smell and I do like it. (Once the shea butter melts into your skin you don't smell it as much.) The shea butter is a medium consistency. You put a small amount (a little goes a long way) in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together and the shea butter softens and melts then you apply to skin or hair. The shea butter moistures very well. I use the shea butter on my face, body and hair. There are several benefits of using shea butter which was on a brochure included with my order.Amazon said that it takes 2 - 3 additional days for shipping from this company....Not...

Shea Butter:a miracle!
I have had chronic eczema on my hand (for many years). This winter I tried everything, including cortisone cream, to heal my cracked palm. I had an open cut that would not close-also itching and redness-a complete mess. I used the Grade A Shea Butter and noticed almost immediate relief. After about a week the cut was healed and the skin on my palm is now normal. I use it every night and I have had no recurrence of any of the symptoms. Be aware that the sent of this cream is a little bizarre, but the scent disappears after about 5 minutes.

Amazing
I can't praise this product hightly enough. The skin on my hands was too dry and scaly for words, and for years, nothing I tried made any difference until I tried this. Within one week of receiving it, the skin on my hands was soft and elastic and looked at least ten years younger. I use it on my hands, face and neck every morning and night and am thrilled with the results. It does have a unique smell, but it's not really unpleasant. And it is solid in the jar, but it softens quickly in the palm of your hand like butter and is absorbed into the skin. My home will never be without it again.
