Great for rosasea
Although it does smell a little bit, it is "sulfur" soap! The smell goes away when you rinse it off your face, so what's the difference!? It made an incredible difference when I started using this soap for my rosacea! I had been using a prescription sulfur face wash and I ran out of it. I didn't have health insurance anymore at the time, so I figured I'd look into a sulfur soap instead of paying over $140 for this scrip face wash! So for $1.39, I tried this stuff, and my face is actually clearer and my skin softer than when using (or not using) the other stuff! (I am very fair and pale by the way.) I do not tolerate nasty smells well, and I can handle the smell of this soap just fine!

Amazing!
Amazing! I just started using this product six days ago and my face has completely cleared up. I was in the middle of a major breakout when it arrived and I was really hoping it would be as effective as many of the reviewers said it was. I too have been a victim of buying into everything out there- Dermalogica, Proactiv, Dr. Murad- and the list goes on. Not to mention the money I've spent going to dermatologists and aestheticians. I am incredibly impressed as this product has cleared up my face in less than a week! My face is smooth as a baby's bottom. Now I can focus on removing the dark spots and we'll be home free. I am so happy I stumbled across this product. The smell isn't bad at all and it doesn't linger. You will need to still use a good moisturizer though, as with any soap products. I hope this helps: )

No more summer problems
I had a bar of this soap for a long time wondering what I would do with it after I heard that sulfur powder used to be used on wounds. I figured if the world got kinda sketchy at least I'd have that to use if one couldn't get a doctor or antibiotic. Then I went to a tropical area where I seemed to pick up a yeast that wanted to live in the moist folds of my skin in the summer time. It is slick and makes my skin red and it STINKS. The only thing the doctor would say is that it is a yeast and that it is everywhere, and that I just need to keep dry. Well dry can be impossible with a high heat index and humidity. Powder works somewhat, but I wanted the stuff dead! I used the sulfur soap in the shower in the places most prone to the yeast. It cleared up immediately. I've got to find some more. 10% Sulfur, Oh Yeah!
This is the second sulfur based soap I have tried for treatment of my cystic acne. The first was . I liked it but it didn't do anything magical to my skin so I decide to up the ante and go for a higher concentration of Sulfur. This bar is 10% Sulfur and .1% Bio-sulfur. A lot of acne products are in the 1-5% range.When I use this soap I really feel like the top layer of my skin is getting deep cleaned and any dead skin is washed away. This is surprising since the soap does not have any kind of abrasiveness to it. It seems like the sulfur just dissolves the dead tissue? Also my pores have seemed significantly cleaner and less noticeable. As for an improvement in my cystic acne... only time will tell.I use this product twice per day. long overdue
Oh my goodness, where was this soap when I was a teenager? I have tried many items for many years to control acne and oily skin, just to be dissapointed. Often ordering products from TV. After using one bar of Grisi bio sulfer soap, my face is now 99 % free of pimples and blackheads. This product is fantastic. Never again will I pay high prices for products claiming to cure acne when I can buy the Grisi soap at such an affordable price. I would highly reccomend this product to anyone suffering from acne, oily skin, or other skin ailments. No where else will give you this value for your money. I would have liked to have known about this product many years ago. The company needs to advertise more and make the product more known.

So far this is good
The price was good, but the shipping was kinda high. I bought two bars and I feel good about it. The soap puts out a good lather and the smell is not overpowering. My dermatologist had recommended soap with sulfur for my adult acne and after the first use I could feel the smoothness in my skin. There is a slight drying, but it's not bad, so I use a moisturizer and step out with a smile. I am please with my purchase and would recommend this product.

Great natural soap - works great on pimples and acne
I got this for my husband because his dermatologist recommended sulfur soap for his acne prone skin. Other soaps we've tried would work for a while in reducing his acne and oil on face but would overdry his skin so much that sometimes it would break out again just due to being over dried. This soap however has just enough sulfur and is gently on his skin, but has cleared up the blackheads and random zits that he had. His face is much smoother now and the oil is contained even with the long hours he works with his construction helmet. It doesn't have any fragrance and the other review said it smelled bad, but I personally don't think it's that bad at all and the smell is very subtle, it's not like I can smell it on him after he uses it. Also it's an all natural soap so I wouldn't expect it to have some artificial fragrance smell. Overall A+ for this sulfur soap.

One Terrific Purchase
If I could give this product a sixth star, I would. Over the past three years, I have periodically had a pernicious form of roseacea. Almost nothing has affected it except Metrogel. Metrogel, however, causes a great deal of unsightly flaking and entails a trip to the doctor, both of which I wanted to avoid. I also don't have the resources to afford things like ProActiv with its repeating subscription arrangements. Six weeks ago, I had to do something, though. I had severe subdermal swelling and quite a few lesions. It looked so bad that I was reluctant to go out in public, and the sores had become so painful that I could not shave.So I bought the Adovia and began using it three times a day, leaving it on 10-20 minutes each time. Wonderful Product
Best thing I have bought for my skin, works better than all those fancy cleansers and washes(even better than the $80 one I bought at some organic skin care boutique). The smell is not bad and the bar lasts forever. I have psoriasis and the occasional pimple and this soap cleans nicely, reduces pimples and psoriasis - all without irritating or drying out my sensitive skin. Best kept secret in acne treatment
Sulfur is one of the oldest and most effective non-prescription treatments for acne and other skin problems. I keep this soap in the house for my teens and for my own occasional outbreak. I have noticed that it often works for people that benzoyl peroxide isn't effective for.It's easy to use. Work up a lather on wet skin and then leave it there for 10 minutes before rinsing. Do this twice a day and in my experience, you will begin to see significant improvement in 3-5 days. I keep it at the sink and in the shower, which is great for teens who have some acne on their backs. Excellent for Morgellons Patients
My wife has Morgellons Disease. This soap is EXCELLENT for getting rid of the fibers in her skin. She swears by this soap. She had the black fibers in the cuticles of her fingernails, and no matter what she tried to get them out, they continuously kept coming out. Oil, especially, brought them out in droves. Since using this soap for ONLY 3 weeks, these black fibers have lessened, and the soap is also drawing them out of the rest of her skin on her body. These fibers stuck in the skin is VERY PAINFUL. Simple, cheap, and works
This soap works. I've had oily, combination skin for years, mild acne, and have used everything from Proactiv, to Murad, to regular Neutrogena products, and this is by far the best. And, it's cheap and lasts forever. As far as sulfur soap goes, this is a pretty straightforward product; the lanolin helps to moisturize while the sulfur does its thing. I've used this for two years now and can't imagine doing without.

A Bionic Beauty must buy - Miracle in a jar!
I've been dabbing it on potential breakouts and current pimples now for over six weeks and the stuff is a miracle. It feels a bit goopy at first, apply it sparingly - trust me... a little goes a LONG way. I notice a very, very slight sulfur smell at first, but I've had other friends and family do a sniff check and they can't detect it after even a minute. It works great under makeup, or before bed. Plus if you're like me and have super-sensitive skin (Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid often make me break out even worse), this frugal find could be just the ticket to clear up your skin.I've bought a few bottles for friends and family - everyone is having great results! the only thing that works for me!
i mix this equally with moisturizer and my acne is mostly gone!i usually have very oily skin, cystic acne, black heads, white heads and red acne scars... i've tried many products, including prescription acne meds and nothing has worked like this!! i've only been using the product for 2 weeks and i haven't had any cystic acne since i've started using it! my skin flakes off but that's helping the red marks fade fast... i just wipe my face off with a towel to get rid of the peeling skin. if you've suffered with acne and haven't had any luck with other products, give this a shot!

Acne- It works, but read on.
I have tried many other products for acne and none of them have worked like this one. Also, I have recommended this product or a homemade concoction with sulfur to others with very promising results. If you suffer from acne, I would strongly recommend you try this product (or any other sulfur product of sufficient concentration) before trying all the harsh chemicals on your skin such as benzoyl peroxide (proactive, etc) which are not only dangerous but are also pretty expensive.Why only four stars? Because this product does not dry very well and you have to apply it and then remove it after 10 minutes which is pretty inconvenient. Think about it, if you are going to apply it morning and night then you would have to wash your face four times a day since you would also want to clean your face before applying it. Use it everyday
I use this soap everyday to wash my face. I have minimum episodes of acne breakouts but I began using this product after I used Rodan and Fields Unblemish. I loved the R&D product but it was expensive. I found this as an alternative due to both products using sulfur. This product is just as effective at reducing my breakouts and does not dry my face out. Also no bad smell as you would expect with sulfur.

Great soap
I purchased this soap to see if it would help with excessive oil/shine due to the hot/humid climate of Florida. I have to say since I have been using this product I have really noticed a difference. I use it once a day and follow up with a light moisturizer (it is a bit drying to the skin). It is great for break outs my skin has been pretty clear and a lot less shiny since I started using it.
